Welcome to our Toddler Room

Welcome  to our toddler room!

Where we focus on; Wellbeing, Communication, Curiosity, Inquiry and Creativity and also Movement and co-ordination all within a safe and nurturing environment.

This is part of our outdoor area today the children are practising gross motor skills on the bikes and also exploring bugs with the magnifying glass.
In the next picture the children are being creative using seasonal summer flowers exploring colour and texture and using their skills to paint. We encourage the children to develop independence and responsibility.

The children enjoy developing their gross motor skills on our fab indoor climbing frame.

Greenbank Gardens

Hi everyone, Eilidh here 😀

I am very fortunate to live across from Greenbank Gardens and, although the gardens themselves are closed, we have been taking many of our daily walks in the forest area around them. There are benches, chairs and stepping stones made from trees that have had to be cut down for safety reasons and also little teepee style dens made from sticks. The boys absolutely love going exploring and we use it as a learning opportunity to discuss what we can see and hear.

Crawling in to the den
Chasing squirrels up trees
Playing hide and seek with Dad
The boys love finding sticks to take home
Having a rest on the bench
Too tired to walk home after all their running around! So glad we held onto their slings!!

Hope you are all having as much fun exploring your local area!

Take care, stay home and stay safe x

Our daily walk

Hi everyone,

Its Carly again!

I hope you have all been enjoying the lovely sunshine we have had the last couple of days.

This is Millie. Millie is the same age as some of our boys and girls, she is 3 years old.

Millie is a very affectionate, loving dog, she is very playful and has lots of energy. Millie needs lots of exercise to help her to grow strong bones and keep her healthy.

Millie and I have been going out for long walks in our local park and in the local area, she likes to collect sticks on our walks and I enjoy seeing all the different colours of flowers that have been growing during spring.

We have been making the most of the nice weather to get our daily exercise.

I hope you are all safe and well, remember to keep in touch through our twitter. We would love to hear from  you all !

30 Days Wild Art

We are continuing to do random acts of wildness everyday in the garden. Today we decided we didn’t want to use our paintbrushes to paint. Instead we decided to use some natural resources found in our garden. First, we found some pine cones and then we took two baby carrots that had started growing in our flower beds as we thought they looked like pens and then we cut some of our willow to make bushy paintbrushes. What random act of wildness could you do this week? #30dayswild

This carrot is just like a pen!

We began to water the plants…

It all started because our plants looked thirsty after all the lovely hot sun we have had. Jaweria brought out the hose so the the children could water the plants but the children had other ideas, they wanted to water each other! Luckily everyone was protected in their puddle suits so they could all run in and out of the cooling fountain of water while watching it sparkle in the sun.
