Today in the lovely sunshine, in our garden we had a very special visitor.
Inside the sac magique was our very own Camembear. He popped by to teach us some french words.
First of all we all sang our french song, to welcome Camembear. Some of our boys and girls could remember to say “Bonjour” to welcome him.
Camembear asked us how we were feeling were we “ca va bien” ou “ca va mal” we all took turns of repeating our French words and telling Camembear how we were. It was lots of fun seeing Camembear
But it was time to say “Au revoir” until next time he pops by.
I wonder what French words we will learn next.
We know that it is hard when you can’t come in to the centre and see your children playing so for the next couple of weeks, staff are going to showcase what is going on in their rooms and what the children are all up to during their day at Cart Mill. Today, some of the boys and girls took part in a French session with Val. Camembear, our slightly mischievous French bear came to visit the children. We discovered how to say hello bonjour and my name is Je m’appelle as well as goodbye au revoir. Please use these words at home with the children! Bonjour! Camembear came to visit me today, he was hoping to see all his Cart Mill friends and find out how they were all feeling.
We are all very good at saying hello – bonjour and goodbye – au revoir but in the video below, Camembear and I talk about how we are. Ça va? How are you? Are you ça va bien 😁 comme ci comme ca 😐 or ça va mal ☹️?
Watch the clip and see if you can tell Camembear how you are feeling. Remember to sing along with our songs!
Au revoir les amis 🇫🇷 xx
