Google Embed Examples

As of the October release it is possible to embed shared google documents in your glow blog by pasting the url to the document into a separate line in the post editor:

Google Docs Embed

The Document below was embedded by simply pasting the url into the editor. This works in both Classic & the Block editor. In the Blocks editor paste into a paragraph. The document needs to be published to the web in Google docs first (see below)  

Google Photos Embed

You can embed photos stored in google Drive by pasting the sharable URL (see below for details) This works in both Classic & the Block editor. In the Blocks editor paste into a paragraph.

Google Sheets Embed

After sharing a google sheet you can embed it in a Glow blog post and page by pasting in the share URL.

Google Slides Embed

After sharing a google presentation you can embed it in a Glow blog post and page by pasting in the share URL. This works in both Classic & the Block editor. Google Calendar Embed

Unlike most of the other embeds Google calendars need you to activate the Google Calendar plugin and use the embed code. More details on the  Google Calendar Embed page. See all the Google Embed Examples.

PDF embed via Google Docs

Just paste the share url into the blog editor.

Google Form

First you need to make sure the Jetpack plugin is activated and the shortcode module is turned on. Paste the embed code into the Editor, the editor must be switched to Text mode: After saving the iframe will change into a shortcode:

Google Sheets Translation

You can translate text in google sheets with a formula. =GOOGLETRANSLATE(A1,”en”,”fr”) and embed that is a Glow Blog.

Google Maps Embed

Paste in the embed iFrame code into the Text Editor. Jetpack plugin needs to be activated and the shortcode module turned on. iFrame code will turn into short code on saving.
