DJ – I really enjoyed researching and writing reports on tsunamis. I also enjoyed telling Primary 5/4 about natural disasters.
Ruby – I liked writing all the reports we did. It was fun. I liked researching, taking notes and then writing a report at the end.
Izzy – I enjoyed building our structures in Maths and testing their strength on the jelly.
Joey – I learned what tessellation is and tested out my own designs. I really enjoyed watching the Scottish afternoon and listening to people reciting their poems.
Bailey – I enjoyed making the protein balls. I learned that if you eat certain things like nuts it can change your sports performance.
Jessica – I discovered that only 15cm of fast flowing water can knock the average person off their feet in a flood!
Maisie – I enjoyed sharing my learning with Primary 5/4. It was good to present information to another class and hear about what they knew.
Gregor – I learned to use a compass in Maths!
Freya – I enjoyed doing the coordinates and trying to find the missing coordinates in Maths. I also enjoyed reciting the Scottish song in front of the whole school.
Evan – I now know what a parallelogram is. I enjoyed doing the activities about shapes.
Lois – I learned how to use a net of a shape to build a 3D castle.
Lottie – I learned lots about flooding and what you can do to prepare for a flood. Even though i have experienced a flood myself I still built on my knowledge with the visit from SEPA.
Murray – I enjoyed using the computers to play ‘Stop Disaster’. It showed me ways of preventing a natural disaster impacting peoples lives.
Islay – I enjoyed the lesson about flooding and the visit from SEPA. I used to live beside the Cuddy so I knew a little bit about flooding before.
Ruby – I learned the poem ‘Tam O’Shanter’ poem by Robert Burns. I felt happy and proud that I came first in the competition.
