Keeping Connected

Good Morning P7!

We hope you have had a great weekend. We have created new learning activities to keep you busy over the next 2 weeks. We hope you enjoy them and we look forward to you sharing your learning on the P7 Teams page and through email. We love hearing all your news and keeping connected with each other is really important at this time. Remember to post something you are thankful for each day on the HWB channel.

Head over to the P7 Teams page each day to find out what the Word of the Day is and a cool science fact related to natural disasters.

A little fun in the Little house

If you have watched the Kingsland Virtual Assembly from 27th April you will have seen that last week I had a tropical desert island in my house.  This week my daughter and I transformed it into a backdrop inspired by a well known series of books and films.  Any guesses?

What books have you been reading while you have been at home?

Meet the tadpoles!

Hello, I hope you’re all safe and well at home.

I thought I would share some news from my garden.  At the end of each winter we have lots of frogs appear at our pond. One year we counted 54! This picture was taken in the middle of March.

Shortly afterwards the pond begins to fill with frogspawn. It looks like big blobs of jelly!

Each little blob is an egg. We’ve been watching closely – and hoping the goldfish didn’t eat them!

A tadpole pushes its way out of each egg. These tadpoles are about four weeks old now. The next stage will be for them to grow legs. I’ll keep watching and share pictures with you when they do.

In the meantime, I’m sure you’ve all seen the wonderful stories in the Kingsland Story Corner. Please let us know what you think. I hope you enjoyed the first virtual assembly too. Watch here if you’ve not seen it yet.

Take care and please email with any questions or to say hello,

Mrs McGilp
