P1/2 World Book Day door

P1/2 enjoyed listening to ‘Dear Zoo’ by Rod Campbell. We painted all of the animals from the story and decorated our classroom door for World Book Day. Visitors enjoyed lifting the flaps to reveal the pets!

A fantastic day at the museum!

P5A and B had a brilliant day at the National Museum of Scotland.  We studied the world of Harald the Viking and loved seeing real Viking artefacts and evidence of their lifestyle.
We also had time to explore the rest of the Musuem from the Natural world and Technological advancements to the fabulous views from the rooftop terrace.
A HUGE thank you to all our fantastic adult helpers who gave up their whole day to come with us and lead a group – we couldn’t have done it without you!

World book day

P4/5 had a fantastic time transforming the classroom door into the book Demon Dentist. We were especially excited to see that David Walliams had liked and shared the picture on his twitter feed!

World Book Day Door

P4 have really enjoyed decorating their door to celebrate World Book Day. We had lots of ideas but, after a vote, we chose Harry Potter. We discussed all the different things we wanted to include in our door then we used lolly sticks to decide who would be responsible for each part of the door. We are very proud of how well we worked together to create our door and we think it looks fantastic! We are looking forward to going on a tour of the school today to see everyone else’s decorated doors.

Decorated Door Challenge

P6B voted to use the novel Birthday Boy by David Baddiel to decorate our classroom door.  We all had great ideas and worked really hard to create it.  We are thoroughly enjoying the story as well!
