Primary 1 Beltane Rosettes

This morning, the Primary 1s worked with the Primary 7s to make wonderful Beltane Rosettes to wear for the Beltane lunch.

The children demonstrated some great team work as they worked together to follow the instructions, practise their cutting skills and share resources.

We look forward to wearing our badges with pride on Thursday. Hooray!

Terrific Tour Guides

Our carefully planned tour of Peebles took place on sunny Monday. We had lots of parents, family members and friends join us to take part in the tour. We shared the scripts that we have been working on for the last 7 weeks and shared information from all of our visits to these locations for research.  Thank you to our tourists for taking part in the tour and the organisations who let us visit their premises.

Muddy Mondays

Our Muddy Mondays fun has continued the last few weeks with visit both to Hay lodge park and to Peebles CAN.

The children did really well walking to both these places, a big thank you to all the parent helpers – we could do these things without you!

Remember to bring your teddy bear for our teddy bears picnic next Monday!

Ask P3B about Loose Parts play today

We had a fantastic time creating vehicles for Mrs. Thomson to travel in using the Loose Parts play. Everyone used their imagination. Mrs. Thomson was impressed by our team work, our imaginative ideas for powering the vehicles and our safe handling of all the equipment. One of the vehicles even moved!! Well done Zander and Jack for that invention.

We are also sure that the Sustainability Squad will be pleased by the tidy cupboard.

Look out for our photos on the Sustainability Squad pinboard.

Gardening with our P7 Buddies

On Friday we had a great time working with our P7 buddies planting and tidying up the school grounds. We saw some great team work as the children shared equipment and listened to each other.

We planted some new plants in the empty planters and did some weeding and litter picking. We are looking forward to checking on the plants as they grow. Great work everyone!
