I have been inspired by MumboJumbo, who is a YouTuber. He likes to make Redstone projects on Minecraft. This helped me by getting me interested in Redstone which helps me with stuff like basic electronics. He also inspired me to have a growth mindset because he fails so many times and has not given up.
Redstone is an electronic like material that you use to make machines in the game.

My inspiration is Michael Jordan , the greatest basketball player. He was born February 17 in 1963 , now he is 56. Basketball wasn’t his favourite sport as he always losed with his older brother. Michael failed to make his highschool basketball team on the second year. He was too short and too thin. However he was very determinant to practise and work hard.
On the third year at highschool he became taller (10cm) and much better at basketball, and he finally made the school team.
Then he joined the Chicago Bulls. In the second season of Chicago Bulls he broke his foot and needed to miss 64 games. That did not stop him to go back and play.
Michael won with Chicago Bulls 6x NBA Champions. He made lots of Basketball records what are still not beated to today.
Michael inspired me as he never gived up , he worked really hard through all his life to make this success.

One person who I find inspiring is my older sister Lorna. She is 19 years old and she is a student Midwife. When Lorna was in high school, she was Head Girl in 6th year and she did well at school which inspires me to do the same. Now Lorna is in 2nd year at Edinburgh Napier University and has so far delivered 22 babies.
Some difficulties Lorna has overcome was having to get the exam results to get in to Midwifery and she had to do interviews as well, that would have made her nervous.
When I am older I would maybe like to be a Midwife, just like my sister Lorna.

So my inspirational person is my dad because he always perseveres when something goes wrong. Once when we went to Wales he got his leg stuck in a drain and his knee was bleeding a lot. Most of the time he’s in England so we don’t get to see him for four days of the week but he still does whatever he can to make us happy. We annoy him but he still loves us. Sometimes at work it doesn’t go well either, but he still does his best.

Exploring Loose Parts play

P5/4 took their group work learning outside as we explored the loose parts materials that have been a new addition to KPS. Together we found all sorts of ways that there materials could be used – see pictures below.

Our challenge was then to create a den with a safe roof in which all four team members could fit. Many ideas didn’t work the first time but most of us got there in the end by working together. We really enjoyed learning this way!
