Primary 4 3.12.20

Hello everyone

This week has been a fun, busy one in Primary 4! We were very excited to begin PE lessons with Mrs Ferguson on Wednesday (well done to everyone for remembering their PE kit!) The children learned of Primary 7’s challenge for the rest of the school to “Race to the North Pole!” before the Christmas holidays! The children ran, walked and skipped their way around the playground in order to add more miles to our tally. Primary 7 told us yesterday that collectively as a school we have ran the distance between here and Shetland already! We are looking forward to adding more miles to the total next week in PE!

In Reading we have been continuing to develop our skills of prediction and questioning. We predicted what would happen next by drawing and writing about the next part of a brand new story. Then we wrote questions for our friends about our reading books! Mr Woodward and I were very impressed with the open questions the children were asking which were often quite tricky to answer! Next week we will look at the skills of clarifying and summarising.

In Topic we are continuing to explore our “Animals” topic. The children showed their knowledge and understandings of food chains through describing the different stages of one. The children were able to use words like “producer”, “consumer”, “prey”, “predator”, “omnivore”, “carnivore”, “herbivore” and even “photosynthesis” to describe the process – wow! Ask your child if they know what these words mean 🙂

Preparation for our part of the Carmondean Christmas Show is coming along nicely. The children have learned a dance which will form part of the show as well as making signs to be shown during the performance. We are looking forward to filming the performance next week! Watch this space for more information!

Primary 5 – 27.11.2020

Hello,

It has been a busy week for Primary 5!

In Maths, the children have to continue to practice using protractors to measure angles. The class have made fantastic progress and our now experts in this new skill. In Coordinates, the class were drawing their own coordinate grids (or as we found out are called Cartesian grids!) and plotting points.

This week, the children edited and redrafted their writing from last week on ‘why reading is important’. We have some great finished pieces with strong reasons for the importance of reading throughout your whole life.

In Science, the children are working extremely hard on their Endangered Animals fact-files. It has been a long process of research, writing and editing but the finished products are nearly complete, and they look fantastic!  

This week in our Great Britain and Northern Ireland topic, the class finished working on their display posters. We are very impressed by some of the excellent team work and negotiations skills as they compromised on opinions. We cannot wait to hear their presentations in the coming weeks.

Christmas (sorry to mention the ‘c’ word so early) is fast approaching. Primary 5M were getting in the spirit and were working to create an advent calendar of kindness for our classroom. We brainstormed lots of lovely kind actions that we can do each day of December to spread kindness and happiness in our class, community and to ourselves! We also will creating and foodbank donation box, where we will collect food items each day to donate to a local charity. Primary 5G will start this task early next week.

In Eco lessons, we had great fun ‘upcycling’ our old t-shirts into new tote bags! It was great to see old clothing going to use, and not into landfill! Now the children have no excuse not to help carry the shopping in!

Thank you for helping the children create and design their Landmark models. They are looking fantastic! If your child is still to hand in, please can you do this by early next week. Next week will be researching their landmark and creating a leaflet to persuade others to visit (when Nicola lets us travel!).

The children have been coming well wrapped up for PE lessons which is great to see. They have been working on pace and endurance in running, which is sometimes hard to remember not to zoom off right at the start! 

As of next week, PE will now be on a TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. Can you please ensure your child comes dressed appropriately for outdoor PE.

Reminders

  • In Numeracy, the children need to use their number bonds and their times tables on a regular basis and it would be very helpful if they could get some extra practice in. Please practice 2-10 times tables and number bonds to 100.
  • Homework on TEAMS this week is a spelling and numeracy activity. Some children were able to complete the activities online and some used their homework jotter. This jotter can be returned to school each week or they can take a picture of their work and upload that to the photo channel in their Team. Please just complete the activities at a time most convenient for you and your family.

Please ensure the children have the correct kit for going outdoors- trainers, trackies/joggers, t-shirt and fleece/hoodie. They can come to school wearing their PE kit but a school jumper must be worn during the day. They can then change into their outdoor jumper when we go outside.

 

  • The children have chosen a book to read for enjoyment in class and it would be appreciated if you could continue to encourage your child to read for enjoyment at home.

Primary 5 – 20.11.2020

Hello,

A huge thank you to all in Primary 5 who helped to organise Children in Need this year. We managed to raise a massive £565.55! The winning duck of the Duck Race was Quackman and Bobbin, and the winner of each class received a bag of sweeties which were gratefully received.

In Maths the children took on the challenge of using protractors to measure angles. It was quite tricky getting used to the new piece of equipment but they all tried really hard.  In Coordinates, the learners were plotting points and naming the coordinates – using the correct brackets and commas format.

In Reading, the children are well into their routines of using their reciprocal reading cards and all are becoming confident in each of their reading roles; predictor, summarising, clarifying, questioner and Big Boss.

In a connected theme in writing this week, children were persuading ‘Aliendino’, a new arrival to planet Earth, ‘why reading is important’. We had some great discussions on how much reading can impact on our lives and were able to form some strong arguments.  The children were also looking ahead to why reading was important for when they go to high school and beyond!

In Science, the children’s Endangered Animals fact-files are coming along well. We are still continuing to find many interesting facts about our chosen animal and how we can help protect them from extinction.

This week in our Great Britain and Northern Ireland topic, the class have been continuing to work in their groups on their display posters. Many of the groups are finding creative ways to display their information and have produced some really great pieces of work. The children are very excited about their Landmark Challenge and we are hearing lots of stories about the creations in progress.

In RME, we have been learning about the patron saints of Great Britain and Northern Ireland over he past month. We have studied the lives of St David, St George and St Patrick and next week we will be studying our own St Andrew, just in time for St Andrews Day!

Both classes are continuing to learn how to greet in each other in Spanish. They are able to say ‘hola, and mi nombre es.. and adios’ – a quick translation ‘hello, my name is and goodbye! This week the children learned how to ask someone their name – ¿Como te llamas? and to informally introduce themselves ‘Me llamo’

Primary 2 16.11.20

What a super week we had last week Primary 2!

We made poppies and wrote a persuasive piece of writing to encourage people to wear poppies to remember our soldiers and veterans. The children showed a good understanding of the importance of the day and took part in a 2 minute silence.

The children also raised money for Children in Need on Friday by participating in our dress down day, and we wore rainbow colours. Everyone looked fabulous and thank you so much for taking part!

In science we have been exploring electrical circuits. The children learned about the importance of a circuit and how it can not be broken if we want a light to remain on. In pairs they drew and created a circuit using a battery, wires and light bulb. Everyone was successful in getting the light to come on. This week we are doing something similar but we will be adding in a switch. All very exciting!

In our topic we are learning about the olden days. We have learned that transport has changed, our classrooms have become much more appealing and this week we are going to be learning how household items have changed over the years, and how they have made our lives easier. We will also be listening to 50s and 60s music and participating in some dance! We will give the Jive and the Twist a go.

In reading are still learning how to answer questions, read aloud with fluency and decode tricky words. The children came home with a list of tricky words linked to their reading book- once they are confident with these words they can colour them in. We are also looking at the alphabet and putting words into alphabetical order.

In maths we are continuing to add but this week we are adding 10, 11 and 9. We will be using the 100 square to help us and see if we can recognise patterns.

Primary 5 – 06.11.2020

Hello,

It has been a great week in Primary Five!

In Reading the children have continued working in their Reciprocal Reading groups. They have been doing well in their independent discussion groups where they each hold a role (Big Boss, Predictor, Summariser, Clarifier and Questioner) and each contribute to the discussion. We have been very impressed with how well they have been working independently.  

In Writing this week, the class were working on persuasive letter writing. The children were given the hard task of persuading Nicola Sturgeon to allow Bonfire Night parties this year. We heard really great arguments from the class on why they deserved a party. It was hard not to disagree with them!  

In Maths the children started learning about coordinates. We were pleasantly surprised by the excitement and knowledge the learner had for this topic. We have also been working on angles in shapes. We had a lot of fun playing Simon Says: Angles Edition!  

In Science, we have continued with our new topic of Endangered Animals. Everyone chose an endangered animal from Scotland to research over the term. We were shocked to find out that so many Scottish animals are endangered!

This week we started our new topic on Great Britain and Northern Ireland. We had a great conversation discussing everything we already know about the topic and then what the learners hoped to learn throughout the topic. We also practiced our map reading skills as we used an atlas to label a blank map with the key features in the four countries. A tricky task but the class did excellent job!

The children have distributed their posters they made last week to each class to advertise the Children in Need activities; Dress Down Day on Friday 13th November bring £1, Duck Race choose a duck for 50p and Pudsey wristbands for a reasonable donation.

Primary 6 1.11.20

Good morning from Primary 6.  Here is some news about everything we have been doing this week.

In reading we have been working on new roles for a new learning style called Reciprocal reading.  We have been discussing tools for reading and have been given new task roles.  They are Clarifyer, Predictor, Questioner and Summariser.  We will continue to practise these roles over the next few weeks.

We are so pleased to see all the inventions arriving in school this week and are looking forward to presenting these on Monday.  Thank you so much to everyone who helped with this, your support is greatly appreciated.

We have started writing haunted house stories using our description genre targets.  These was a real success, everyone enjoyed writing them and we will be redrafting these for display next week.

In ICT we have been working on Garage band with Mr Shanks, there were some fantastic pieces of music  being played this week.

In Maths we are continuing to work on place value and have completed our angles topic.  On Thursday we had an activities session where we were challenged to create pathways using compasses and draw shapes by programming instructions using the Probots.

On Friday we had a super morning participating in Halloween activities.  Everyone loved the Quiz which was made by the PSA  and goody bags so we would all like to say a big thank you for that.  We also took part in a murder mystery where we had to use our maths and group work skills to solve the problem.

Class newsletters were handed out on Friday with information on the rest of the term so have a look in bags if you didn’t receive yours.

It has been a busy week in Primary Five!

In Reading the children have started working in their Reciprocal Reading groups and seem to be enjoying their new books. They have been working on their reading skills including predicting what is going to happen next, summarising what they have read, asking questions and clarifying any tricky words.

In Writing this week, the class were working on creative stories with a Halloween theme.  We listened to some Halloween music to get in the mood before writing some excellent, spooky stories using lots of adjectives and descriptions.

In Maths the children have been continuing to work on reading the exact time and time intervals. We are really improving with our time reading skills but everyone could do with a little bit more practice.

This week Primary 5M started with Spanish lessons where we were learning basic greetings. We were absolutely amazed by some of the children’s Spanish skills who were even able to teach us a thing or two! Primary 5G will be starting their lessons next week. Both classes are continuing with French this term and will be moving on to colours, numbers and food!

In Science, we have started our new topic of Endangered Animals. We had some excellent discussions about the impact of climate change on animals all over the world, and discussed what we can do to help. Over the term we will be doing lots of research into our chosen endangered Scottish animal to create a fact-file book.

There was much excitement in Primary 5 when we started planning the school activities for Children in Need. We made some colourful posters to advertise these activities; Dress Down Day on Friday 13th November bring £1, Duck Race choose a duck for 50p and Pudsey wristbands for a reasonable donation.   These posters will be put up in all classrooms and corridors to encourage everyone to take part.

Congratulations to Oliver in Primary 5G for winning the P7 Design-a-Bin competition!! His fantastic design is currently being made into a bin for the playground! We cannot wait to see the finish product!

Happy Monday Primary 2!

Homework Sheet – Monday 26th October

Remember you have two weeks to complete the activities on the grid. We will collect the homework back in on Friday 6th November. However reading books will be issued every week and please remember to bring them to school with you every day.

We had a super trip to the woods on Friday and we are looking forward to go back on Friday 6th November. We were using our non standard measuring skills to measure different items in the woods. The children did really well!

Halloween is approaching and we are looking forward to seeing you all dressed up on Friday. We have a few Halloween crafts and activities to do this week. We will also be writing a spooky story with lots of description, using our describing bubbles to help us.

We will be putting our prediction skills to the test this week in reading. They will be listening/reading short stories and predicting what they think might happen next based on what they have already read and found out about the characters/setting.

In maths were are beginning to work on our addition and counting on skills. We are combining sets to start and then we will be using number lines to help us count on.

We are going to be using the netbooks this week to practise logging on and off (typing in usernames and passwords), practise writing our names and changing the font and size.

In science we are going to be investigating the moon and learning about why/how the moon changes every night. We will ask you to take a look at the moon every night before bed to see if you can see it changing!

Hello,

In Reading the children have been completing book reviews about the novel There’s a Boy in the Girl’s Bathroom. It has been interesting reading the children’s views about the novel and what happened to Bradley.

In Writing this week, the class were working on creative stories. It was lovely to hear all the wonderful ideas from the children; we have lots of learners with big imaginations! The children have also been learning more about adjectives and similes. We were very impressed with the words they were coming up with. Fabulous vocabulary from many.

Mrs Cuthbertson spoke to the children about Brass lessons. The whole class appear to want to learn to play! You will have now received information about how to sign up for Brass and/or Chanter lessons so hopefully we have some budding musicians in the class.

In Maths the children have been continuing to work on reading time in five minute intervals and introduced time duration.  This was challenging for many so any help you can give with this at home would be appreciated. Practice makes perfect!

Primary 5 2.10.20

Hello to everyone,

In Reading we have finished reading our novel ‘There’s a Boy in the Girl’s Bathroom’. The children have become very much invested in the life of Bradley and there were a few tears at the end with how much Bradley had changed. The children wrote fabulous letters to their best friends and we are hoping they will be able to deliver these to them.

In PE Tennis lessons with Mrs Ferguson the children are becoming very proficient with the tennis racquet. The balls are now heading the right direction! We do have a few budding Andy Murray’s and Johanna Konta’s!

In Art the children have created pictures of Bradley using the Pop Art technique. This involved using different thickness of lines, dots and primary colours. The finished pictures look fantastic.

Homework started this week on TEAMS. The children had a spelling activity, a symmetry quiz and were learning about Article 3 of their Rights. Some children were able to complete the activities online. Some children would prefer to complete them on paper. With this in mind we will be sending home a jotter for the children to complete their homework in if they wish. This jotter can be returned to school each week or they can take a picture of their work and upload that to the photo channel in their Team.

Miss Herd will be teaching Mrs Gilmour’s class on a Monday and Tuesday from now on. She visited us this week and got to meet the children.

We are looking forward to seeing and speaking with you next week through Skype during Parent Consultations. This is our first time using Skype so please be patient if we run in to difficulties. Fingers crossed for a smooth running of the evening.

Primary 5 11.9.20

Hello everyone,

It has been another busy week for Primary 5.

In Reading, we have continued with our class novel There’s a Boy in the Girls’ Bathroom and we are all interested to see the big changes in the main character Bradley personality. We have been having great discussions about bullying, and how we can stop this from happening within our classroom and playground. We have made lots of bright coloured anti-bullying posters. Inspired by Bradley’s hatred of homework, the children had a lively debate about the good and bad points for getting homework.

In writing the children have continued with practicing their letter writing skills. This week they wrote a letter to Bradley telling him all about themselves. We came up with lots of fun and interesting facts to tell Bradley!

The children are continuing with hockey in their PE lessons and have made lots of progress. This week they played their first game, with both teams playing well and ending in a draw!

The children have been working hard in the French lessons, and have been enjoying acting out mini-conversations and drama scenes in French.

In ICT the children have been looking at how to keep safe and talking about our digital footprint. We talked all about the different websites and apps we use, and how much they have changed from last year.

In maths we have been exploring time and symmetry. In Time lessons we are currently converting analogue to digital time and will be moving on to time durations next week. In symmetry lessons we have continued to use mirrors to find lines of symmetry in lots of different shapes. The children are really good at this and even have been finding symmetry in real-life objects too!

Primary 2 31.8.20

Primary 2 have settled very well back in to school. They have been working hard recognising numbers up to 30 and beyond. We have also been naming 2D shapes and creating shape monsters. Some have even been displayed on the wall!

We have be doing some reading aloud in class in small groups and discussing character features and personalities. The children have also been writing about themselves and wrote a short story about a superhero.

In science we are learning about our senses. Last week we put our eyes to the test and this week we are investigating our hearing. We have also been having lots of discussions about our feelings. Every day the children share their feelings by placing their name on our feelings chart. We have also been talking about SHANARRI and what it means to them.

Primary 2 have been fantastic at playing in their area and washing their hands! Let’s keep it up!

Primary 2 have P.E on a Wednesday and Thursday so please send your children to school with their P.E kit on. Please make sure the children come to school with a water bottle and names written on clothes/jumpers. Thank you.

Primary 5

Hello to all,

Another busy week in Primary 5.

Our Interdisciplinary Topic for the beginning of term is connected to our novel- There’s a Boy in the Girls’ Bathroom. We are reading and discussing it during Reading lessons and completing tasks related to it at other times. The children have been predicting what will happen next and improving their comprehension skills. Some are horrified at how badly behaved Bradley is! We have also created 2 life sized Bradley’s and will be using them to identify good and bad behaviour.

The children have chosen a book to read for enjoyment and it would be appreciated if you could continue to encourage your child to read for enjoyment at home.

In Health we have been looking at the Wellbeing Indicators and how they relate to our life. The children are very good at naming the indicators in the correct order. Ask them if they can do it for you! They have also been discussing what a trusted adult is and identifying 5 who they can speak to.

In PE lessons the children are learning hockey skills. This week they focused on dribbling and controlling the ball with the stick. This is harder than it looks and many children found themselves chasing after their ball! Practice makes perfect though!

Primary 4 20.8.20

Hello everyone

Our first full week back in Primary 4 has been a great one so far! The children have continued to adjust very well to our new class and school routines and Mr Woodward and I have been very impressed with their work ethic and their super manners – keep it up Primary 4! 🙂

This week we have began to revise areas of Numeracy such as addition, subtraction and times table facts. The children have impressed us with their numeracy skills! We will continue to revise known facts for the next few weeks to ease the children back into learning at school.

In Reading, both classes have began reading a new class novel. P4C are reading “Ottoline and the Yellow Cat” while Mr Woodward’s class are reading “The Legend of Spud Murphy”. The children will complete activities related to their reading book in class and will receive no reading book home this term. We will continue to hear the children read in class regularly. Please also encourage your child to read at home for enjoyment.

Our PE days will be Monday and Friday. Children should come to school on these days dressed for PE in appropriate clothing for the outdoors. If the weather is very bad we may not be able to do PE on our scheduled PE days but we will endeavor to ensure we get outside on another drier day of the week instead (as happened this week).

Tomorrow your child will come home from school with a P4 newsletter with much more details about your child’s learning this term. Please look out for this in your child’s bag.

Good morning Primary 1s!

How are you today? We hope you have managed to do some learning, playing and relaxing this week. We have loved looking at your pictures from your sports days. Well done to you all! Your house teams will be so proud.

Since we have been finding lots of fun things to do at home over the past few months we thought it would be nice to read ‘Winnie and Wilbur Stay at Home’ on the Oxford Owl website. You can read this book with an adult and try to read the words that you can on your own. Once you have read the book you can have a discussion about it with an adult. You can think about all the fun things that you have decided to do at home and see if they are the same as Winnie and Wilbur. I really enjoyed reading this book and I hope you do too.

This week our Rights Respecting School article is Article 14 – Freedom of thought, belief and religion. This article guarantees every child’s right to think and believe what they choose and to practice their religion, as long as they are not stopping others from enjoying their rights.

Hello Primary 2,

How was your weekend? The weather was beautiful so we hope you managed to get outside and enjoy it. The forecast says the nice weather isn’t going to last unfortunately. You can check out the weeks weather forecast on https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast-video.

Last week we posted two weeks’ worth of learning grids so you should now be looking at the grids beginning 27.04.20. We have also attached them to make it easier for you to find them. As always, please choose one literacy, one numeracy and one learning across the curriculum activity each day. We have loved seeing photos of you completing your tasks on your online learning journals. Bonjour Primary 2!

Well today is Thursday and what a busy week we have had! We love seeing all your hard work that you are sharing on Learning Journals so please keep them coming. Lots of you have been so creative, sporty and crafty at home. You have also been keeping up with Literacy and Numeracy activities which is great. We want to say a huge thank you and well done to all the mummy’s and daddy’s working hard at home with their jobs and supporting you in your learning. Super Parents!

On Thursday you go to Mrs Ferguson for P.E so today she has left this little challenge bellow. Tell us how you get on!

Don’t drop the ball Active Maths Infant

Have you been using the e-books on Oxford Owl? Remember there are lots of fiction and non-fiction books to read. Remember to write down which books you have read in your red jotter. Even the ones that you have read from your own bookshelf in the house.  Did anyone try the comprehension task that was set on Tuesday? If you haven’t scroll back and see if you can give it a go. Remember to answer in sentences J

Thursday is a writing day! Have any of you written a story recently? If not why don’t you write about Spring- challenge yourself with a variety of adjectives and connectives. Self assess your story with the imaginative writing targets bellow:

  • Varied story setting
  • Write events in order
  • Describe how the characters are involved/feelings
  • Simple ending

Remember to tick off any of the tasks from your pack that you have completed this week and if you can, keep posting the pictures on Learning Journals. Keep working hard Primary 2, you’re all doing so well!

When you are on your daily walk/exercise outside remember to look for rainbows, flowers and teddy bears!!

Tonight again at 8pm we will be outside clapping our NHS and Keyworkers!

Good morning boys and girls!

We hope you all had a wonderful weekend and managed to enjoy some of the sunshine. Today starts another week of learning at home. You should now refer to your second booklet for one literacy, one numeracy and one across the curriculum activity. Everything you are doing at home should be done in your red jotter. Please keep all extra sheets and take photos of things you have done or made. When we come back to school, we would like to see all your hard work!

Easter is just around the corner. How many of you have boiled eggs, decorated them and rolled them down the hill? Do you know what the rolling of the egg symbolises? There are lots of Easter crafts you could do this week with your family: make chocolate Easter nests, Easter cards, an Easter bonnet, or an Easter wreath to hang on your door.

Good morning Primary 1s.

We are missing you loads and hope that you and your family are keeping safe. We have loved seeing some of the work you have done at home on the Learning Journals. If you have not yet posted then please do over the next few days. It is a great way for you to share your hard work and for us to stay in contact with each child. If you have forgotten your password or haven’t used this platform before, please email the school office and one of us will sort you out! Alternatively, you can post a comment on the blog and we can help you with any queries you have there.
You should still have your ‘Home Learning’ pack given out last week and we encourage you to keep working through the activities there. Our plan is to issue a new set of learning grids (similar to the Homework sheet) each week on Monday, but please don’t feel any pressure to have completed all of last week’s work by then. We are trying to be as flexible as possible because we appreciate that every household will have different conditions to work within.

Today’s suggested learning activities are:
Reading – We are keen to continue developing the children’s reading skills whilst they work from home. There are a few online resources which provide access to e-books and we will be sharing these with you over the next few weeks. Today have a look at starfall (link below). The book we would like the children to read is ‘Mox’s shop’. Most children should be able to read the words in this book and so we encourage you to sound out the words and only play the audio if there is a word that you get stuck on. After reading the book draw a picture in your yellow jotter showing your favourite part of the story and try to write a sentence describing what is happening. My favourite part was when Mox dropped the eggs all over the floor! Remember a sentence needs a capital letter, finger spaces and a full stop. Parents please don’t worry if spelling isn’t correct, at the moment our main objective is to build the children’s confidence having a go and hearing some sounds in words. If you are supporting please encourage the children to write their letters correctly. You might also like to play the ‘ot’ and ‘og’ games next to the story?

Maths– In maths this week we have been learning to split a number of objects or a shape into halves and quarters. If there is a particular activity your child enjoyed doing throughout the week why not try it again. Think about when we use halves and quarters in real life. For example, when making lunch you might cut your sandwiches in half, or if there are 4 people in your house you might give each person a quarter of an amount of sweeties after tea? Get creative and post your everyday examples on the learning journals. We might post some of your best ideas on the blog next week?! Make sure that you child understands that each part of the half or quarter must be the same (equal). Sometimes in class I do examples where I don’t share the objects equally and ask the children to say why it’s not fair! If you want to continue this learning, there are a few good games on Education City. Log on to the website and search under ‘subjects’ for numeracy. Then click on Early***. The games appropriate for the learning this week are called:

At the moment Education City is struggling with the number of people accessing it. When I was planning this lesson I found that pressing ‘reload’ when the error message appeared allowed me to get on the page. If that doesn’t work then maybe try again another time. The games require children to be able to visualise splitting a group/ shape in half and this will be difficult for most Primary 1s at this stage in their learning. To support your child I would suggest using objects found around your house. For example, if it says select half of the cakes and there are 10 cakes I would get out 10 objects (coins, pencils, rubbers, bead etc) and 2 plates. I would ask the children to split the 10 objects between the 2 plates equally and then select their answer on the game.

Fairytales– Continue with your challenge to create Jack’s beanstalk. We have really enjoyed seeing the progress in these creations on the Learning Journals and are looking into ways of sharing your pictures with everyone. Once your beanstalk is made, why don’t you act out the story of Jack and the Beanstalk using toy figures in your house. You could always make puppets of the main characters by drawing them on paper, cutting them out and sticking them on sticks from your garden?
