Primary 2 2.4.20

Bonjour Primary 2!

Well today is Thursday and what a busy week we have had! We love seeing all your hard work that you are sharing on Learning Journals so please keep them coming. Lots of you have been so creative, sporty and crafty at home. You have also been keeping up with Literacy and Numeracy activities which is great. We want to say a huge thank you and well done to all the mummy’s and daddy’s working hard at home with their jobs and supporting you in your learning. Super Parents!

On Thursday you go to Mrs Ferguson for P.E so today she has left this little challenge bellow. Tell us how you get on!

Have you been using the e-books on Oxford Owl? Remember there are lots of fiction and non-fiction books to read. Remember to write down which books you have read in your red jotter. Even the ones that you have read from your own bookshelf in the house.  Did anyone try the comprehension task that was set on Tuesday? If you haven’t scroll back and see if you can give it a go. Remember to answer in sentences J

Thursday is a writing day! Have any of you written a story recently? If not why don’t you write about Spring- challenge yourself with a variety of adjectives and connectives. Self assess your story with the imaginative writing targets bellow:

  • Varied story setting
  • Write events in order
  • Describe how the characters are involved/feelings
  • Simple ending

Remember to tick off any of the tasks from your pack that you have completed this week and if you can, keep posting the pictures on Learning Journals. Keep working hard Primary 2, you’re all doing so well!

When you are on your daily walk/exercise outside remember to look for rainbows, flowers and teddy bears!!

  1. Hello Lorena! Yes I am very well, thank you. Hope you and Mummy are too 🙂
Ohhhh lovely, was the bread tasty. That’s good you have been watching Jamie Oliver as he is a fantastic chef. You’ll be learning lots of new recipes to make- that can keep you busy over the Easter holidays!
A window garden is a lovely ideas, a nice little project that keeps you busy and you are rewarded with flowers/plants at the end. Well done for completing week 2’s activities, you must have been very busy. I am looking forward to seeing and reading about all your hard work while working at home.
Yes Mummy is correct, that does mean see you later! Have a lovely day Lorena and I will speak to you tomorrow.
    Miss Rafferty 🙂

  2. Hi Miss Rafferty, I hope you are well! Yesterday I practiced Maths on Education City especially multiplication and division and also baked another tasty bread with mummy, she even allowed me to play with the dough for a while! We watch Jamie Oliver on Channel 4 every day and even save them on tv so we can do some more lovely baking! My window mini garden is growing bigger and bigger and I’m very proud of it! I watch mummy watering them every day so they can grow bigger and bigger! Not a nice weather to go outside today but I plan to finish my Week 2 activities today, read some books and watch some Peppa Pig cartoons. I will probably do some exercise with mummy later on too.
A bientot! (mummy says it’s French for See you later)

  3. Good morning Harris, I am good. I went for a run this morning but it was so windy!!
I’m glad the bin men liked your letter- it was such a kind thing to do. I’m sure they were very happy. That’s good that you are spacing your activities out throughout the day. Good luck with the comprehension activity: remember to answer in full sentences 🙂
    Enjoy, Miss Rafferty

  4. Good morning Miss Rafferty. How are you? It’s not so nice today 😪. I got lots done yesterday, and went out for an hour on my bike with mummy and the dog in the afternoon. The bin men loved my letter this morning, mummy saw them when she was walking the dog. They were smiling and taking photos of it. I have done my sentences this morning and I am going to do art and the comprehension exercise next. I hope you have a good day. Love Harris x
