Choose one starter, one main course and one dessert from the selection below. If you want to try a different dish, ask your waitress (Mrs Harrison/ Mrs Smith, Mrs Scott).

Homework is due 8^th October and will be shared with the class that week too.

Starter

Using the skills we have learned from connectors choose an interesting image and create a list of questions based on this.

Create a piece of text about a character or a setting so that someone can visualise your ideas and draw what they are thinking about.

Create a poster that shows different examples of onomatopoeia – make it bright and colourful.

Main

Create your own flag based on your knowledge of shape. Label the flag using all of our shape vocabulary (See GLOW blog for language ideas).

Photograph/draw/ print a picture of an interesting place. Label it with the different shapes/ lines, etc that you can see within in it.

Create a game using larger numbers to help other people in class practise these.

What big numbers can you find in the world? Create a poster to show this or a Powerpoint that you could share with the rest of the class.

Dessert

Create a rap/song to help us learn our French numbers.

Up-cycle an old item to create something new and bring in a photo or the item to show us.

Create a poster for recycling to display around the school.

Primary 6a have been looking at air pollution this week. What can we do to cut down on air pollution so that we can help to save the world? Can you add a comment with your ideas.

Logan enjoys looking after his beanstalk and seeing how much it has grown since he got it home. It’s already 35cm high.

Our chocolate room maps were too small for the cardboard Beebots. We couldn’t change the size of the Beebot so, we worked out that we had to make bigger maps.

This session has helped us to learn our Left and Right.

The bug research sounds interesting, P3. I am looking forward to doing that with P2/3. Your research skills are very useful in real life too.

As part of Roald Dahl Day we made up our own designs for The Chocolate Room. We made lots of twisty-turny tunnels and it was fun drawing the maps in 2D.

I like the sound of the Sweet Sea and the Lollipop Trap rooms. This would be a very exciting map to follow.

The challenge now is to Program the Beebots to follow your map.

We read an extract from James and the Giant Peach and then made our own peach crumble.  While the crumble was cooking we also designed some new characters to live in the peach with James. It was great fun and we loved trying our crumble at the end of the day!
