The Chocolate room maps part 2
Our chocolate room maps were too small for the cardboard Beebots. We couldn’t change the size of the Beebot so, we worked out that we had to make bigger maps.
This session has helped us to learn our Left and Right.

Thank you Mrs Wilkinson!
Comment on Bug research by Miss Finlayson
The bug research sounds interesting, P3. I am looking forward to doing that with P2/3. Your research skills are very useful in real life too.
The Chocolate Rooms map
As part of Roald Dahl Day we made up our own designs for The Chocolate Room. We made lots of twisty-turny tunnels and it was fun drawing the maps in 2D.
I like the sound of the Sweet Sea and the Lollipop Trap rooms. This would be a very exciting map to follow.
The challenge now is to Program the Beebots to follow your map.

A “Revolting” morning for Roald Dahl Day
To celebrate Roald Dahl’s birthday P5A had a wonderful morning enjoying some of his Revolting Rhymes. We looked in detail at Red Riding Hood and the Wolf and decided to create our own illustrated picture book using his text. We worked in pairs to create each page and are really pleased with the result.
Weekly update #1
To start of this weekly report is our art correspondent Jay.
In art we have been doing a mythical creature named the griffin which is half lion half eagle hybrid. Here are some quotes and thoughts of other people in primary 7: “I loved everything about it because I love art”-Blaise, Ryan M was super pleased with his griffin and last but not least on Friday we drew Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka and the Oompa Loompas with Quentin Blake which we really enjoyed.
This week in sport with Owen.
So this Thursday in hockey we were practising reverse stick and dribbling skills everyone was very good but when it got to games it was very good. first of the yellows had a great performance v the reds and won 2-0 with goals from Alex and Anna won it for them. next the yellows went on to play the blues and an early goal from paddy made a 1-0 win over the yellows. Finally the blues went to play the reds and an early goal from Paddy put them 1-0 up but a pass from Joe led to an equaliser by Owen for the reds but 20 seconds from full time a brilliant team goal led to a last minute goal by Finlay Burns.
We asked most of P7 what they are most looking forward to about Dalguise. We got lots of answers but most of them were about the giant swing, seeing the rooms and eating the food which we are sure will be really tasty.
Last of all we asked P7 what they have enjoyed the most so far in P7. We got lots of great answers including drawing our dragons in art, our Prefect training and P.E. with Mrs. Fletcher.
