You can embed photos stored in google Drive by pasting the sharable URL (see below for details)
This works in both Classic & the Block editor. In the Blocks editor paste into a paragraph.
On the Google Drive page where you view an image click the vertical ellipse at the top right and choose share:
In the dialog that opens click ‘Get sharable link’
Copy the link.
And past that into the post editor on your blog. Remember it need to be on a line on its own.
