I am delighted to be able to share our School College Partnership programmeĀ prospectusĀ for 2026/27.
As you will see, we have a number of new or returning courses including HNC Business, Introduction to British Sign Language and our online Twilight Higher Languages options.
Senior Phase College applications open via the colleges website on the 18thĀ of February.Ā  I have attached a “how-to” guide which will take your students through the process step-by-step.
Remember this is for young people in S5 and 6 looking to do part time college on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. You should also have chosen college as your second option on your options forms.

King’s Park got off to a fast start with quick baskets by Quinn Devine and Cole McLaughlan, setting the tempo for the game. The team were buoyed by Nifemi Ayorinde’s big night rebounding, Jeantain Oyono’s quick hands on defence, and Jack Dennis on the fast break. Following on from the burst pipe in the early hours of Friday 16th Jan, we are pleased to let you know it has been repaired and we are ready to welcome our staff and young people on Monday 19th at 8:50am. Many thanks to those involved in the repairs!

If any young person requires breakfast or lunch today, sandwiches can be collected at 9am. We will keep everyone updated on progress, apologies again.

S3 YPI Winners

A massiveĀ congratulations to our S3 YPI finalists for winning Ā£3000 for Crossbasket House! These 4 pupils have perfectly demonstrated and embodied King’s Park’s values of KARE. They have also shown courage, perseverance, creativity, and teamwork by working with Crossbasket House charity and engaging with independent research about this charity. This group presented beautifully in front of an entire year group and a judging panel, with the aim of persuading everyone that Crossbasket house is a great charity deserving of the Ā£3000 YPI grant.

On behalf of the King’s park staff we want to sayĀ congratsĀ to this group and all of our other finalists – you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves. Even if your group did not win the grant, you have successfully increased visibility for that charity and have become advocates within your local community. Additionally, a huge thank you to Crossbasket House, Talbot Association, Castlemilk Youth Complex, and Action for Children for taking part in YPI and inspiring the young people within our community!

ParentĀ and carerĀ research – Parents’ Voice Survey 2025/26

Feedback on Skills Development Scotland’s (SDS) career service:
Parents and carers are key influencers over young people’s career ambitions and choices.

SDS work in close partnership with this school to support our young people to make informed career choices and they would value feedback from parents and carers on their services. You can do this by taking part in aĀ short survey.

All responses are confidential and anonymous, and the results will be used to inform SDS services.

The survey should only take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
