June already!

Hi Primary 5

We hope you are enjoying the lovely weather we have been having (don’t forget your sun cream and to drink plenty of water!).  Our next block of Home Learning is available form the Tab above – remember to get in touch if you need any help with anything.

This week many of the staff are involved with activities at the Hub so if you don’t get a response from your teacher straight away we promise to get back to you as soon as we can.

If you took part in last week’s Kingsland Challenge from Mrs Fletcher, please remember to email your teacher to tell us how many miles you and your family clocked up over the week.  There is also a new Kingsland Challenge on the School Website.  Have fun!

Keep up the good work P5

We are so pleased with how well you are adapting to this different way of working Primary 5.  Thank you to everyone who has emailed us, shared what they’ve been up to or joined us on Teams – we love hearing from you.  You are all doing a fabulous job and we are very proud of you.  New home learning for this week and next is available on the Home Learning page above.  Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or problems or just want to say hello.

A little fun in the Little house

If you have watched the Kingsland Virtual Assembly from 27th April you will have seen that last week I had a tropical desert island in my house.  This week my daughter and I transformed it into a backdrop inspired by a well known series of books and films.  Any guesses?

What books have you been reading while you have been at home?

Happy Holidays P5

It’s not the end of term any of us were expecting but we just wanted to thank you all for  your hard work this term (parents as well as pupils) and to wish you a very Happy Easter.  We hope you have a lovely restful time over the next two weeks and we’ll be back online on Monday 20th to share more learning with you.

Love Mrs Little and Mrs Rand

Well done P5

Primary 5 you have blown us away this week! Mrs Rand and I have loved seeing everything you’ve posted on the Share Space or the Kingsland Challenge page. Thank you too to everyone who has emailed to say hi, ask a question or send some work. We are missing you all but it’s lovely to keep in contact with you. It has been great to see all your Viking stuff – I feel we got our sharing time after all.

Now, it’s Friday and the weekend starts here. No homework please – try to do something nice with your family.  Read books, play games, build dens, do some cooking together and get some fresh air when you can. We’ll be in touch soon.

Handwriting Help

At Kingsland we have been trying extra hard with our presentation recently. I have been learning how to use some new apps on my iPad and thought this short video might be helpful to remind you (and your parents) how we form our letters for cursive script at Kingsland. I had to do it with my finger so I may not be quite on the lines.  Can you do any better? Remember to always start every letter from the line and use a leading join. Click on the green link below to watch the video.

Kingsland Daffodil Challenge

I had a go at the drawing challenge set by Mrs Wilson and beautifully demonstrated by Mrs Collins. Have you had a go yet? I can’t wait to see how they turn out. Remember to share your finished pictures on the school sharing page via the Kingsland Website. Here’s mine…

Viking Cafe Homework

We can’t have our planned Viking morning this Friday but we can still share our learning with each other. A few people managed to bring things in a little earlier than asked and I know lots of you are sharing things on the Share Space or by email. Here are just a few of the fabulous things you have made.

Hello from Mrs Rand and Mrs Little

Hi Primary 5

Hope you are all well and looking forward to some activities and challenges.  There will be some tasks for you to do in the Home Learning page and also on the school website.  Please share your learning with us either on the share page or by email.  We look forward to hearing from you.
