Dalbeattie Primary School Parent Council

Parents and carers are encouraged to be involved in school life. All parents / carers with a child at the school are automatically members of our Parent Forum and will receive updates from the school, be consulted on school policy and have an opportunity to provide views or raise concerns.

The Parent Council is a formal group set up to work closely the Headteacher and represent the views of the wider Parent Forum. All parents and carers are welcome to join the Parent Council and contribute to discussions in a more formal manner.

Get involved

The Parent Council generally meets once a term. Meetings are advertised in advance via this website and the school’s Facebook page.

Parent Council meetings are currently in person but can also be accessed virtually using Microsoft Teams. Get in touch with the school office if you’d like to receive a link for the next meeting.
