P7 went to Mareel to take part in the Screenplay Festival. They watched a powerful film called ‘Step’ which followed the trials and tribulations of a group of Baltimore High School students throughout the academic year. Being part of a Step Dance Club had a positive impact in all areas of their lives. Following the film we took part in our own Step Dance workshop.

Primary 1 Fine Motor Skills
We have had a busy first 2 weeks in Primary 1. We are working on developing our fine motor skills prior to writing. We have taken part in a range of fun activities to practise using our dominant hand and assisting hand; using a tripod grip; controlling small tools etc.
BIG TAKEOVER
THE BIG TAKEOVER
We have incorporated a dedicated and free “Inflatable Extravaganza” session for people with a disability or additional support need into the BIG Takeover programme. The session would take place from 11.45am – 1.45pm at the Gilbertson Park on Friday 14th September 2018 and the activities on offer would be the following:
Inflatable Extravaganza – 100ft Assault Course, Army Assault Course, Gauntlet Assault Courses, Wrecking Ball, LazerQuest, Target Paintball, Ariborne Adventure, Slip & slide, Land Zorbs and Segways.
It was thought that this could be a slightly quieter session where participants would get more of an opportunity to try out the activities without lots of other participants.
We also agreed to put on a relaxed showing of the Avengers Assemble movie in Mareel and sought to make sure that the rest of our programme was as inclusive as possible for the weekend.

Goodbye P7
It is always sad to say goodbye to pupils and this year has been very hard. We have thoroughly enjoyed having such a fantastic bunch of young people in the school and wish them the very best for the future.

Football and Netball Tournament
We were lucky to have two netball teams and two football teams participate in the Inter Schools Football and Netball Tournament.
They all enjoyed themselves and participated fully. All four teams showed great sportsmanship. The Netball A team were thrilled to win the tournament this year.
