Our Junior Road Officers are a group of five very enthusiastic P6 pupils whose aim is to promote road safety awareness to all pupils in our school.

They meet weekly to discuss, organise and carry out various road safety activities and competitions throughout the school year. They display the outcomes of their work through photographs and pieces of writing on the J.R.S.O notice board which is situated in the central area of the school.

At the end of term 4 they attend a presentation where they meet J.R.S.Os from other schools and show the work they have been doing.

They all receive a certificate in appreciation for their hard work from Mrs Skinley, Shetland Islands Council’s Road Safety Officer.
