TUESDAY 10 DECEMBER – HOME TIME ARRANGEMENTS
Bell’s Brae School will close at 3pm as usual today. Nursery will also close at 3pm.
The P1 show scheduled for this afternoon will go ahead at 2pm.
However, please note the following –
- Study Club has been cancelled
- Choir Practice has been cancelled
- Parent Council Christmas Disco has been cancelled
In the interests of both pupil and staff safety, there will be no crossing patrol staff on Gilbertson Road or at the bottom of Bell’s Road. If your child(ren) usually walk home, can you please arrange for them to be collected from their classrooms.
It is at parents/carers’ discretion should they wish to collect their child(ren) early given the adverse weather conditions.

It’s beginning to look a lot like…. Winter!
It was great to see everyone out enjoying the first ‘snow’ of the season today.
Please remember to come to school prepared for the weather. That way, everyone gets to enjoy being outside…
Primary 1 Nativity
Primary 1 got everybody feeling really Christmassy with their Nativity shows earlier this week. There was even snow outside!

Town Service Bus
A town service bus will stop at Bell’s Brae at 1300 on THURSDAY 7 DECEMBER to collect children who normally use the 1500 service.
Bell’s Brae School closure due to adverse weather
As a precautionary measure, Bell’s Brae will close to pupils at 1pm on Thursday 7th December.
The school will remain closed on Friday 8th December.
The BIG Raffle!
The draw for our ‘Big Raffle’ will take place on Tuesday 12 December. Please ensure you have returned all stubs and monies by Monday 11 December for a chance of winning!
Any unsold tickets should be returned to the school office as soon as possible.

‘Bookbug’ and ‘Read, Write, Count’
As part of Book Week Scotland, all the children in Primary 1, 2 and 3 will be taking home a bag of goodies this week.
P1 will get a ‘Bookbug’ pack and a ‘Read, Write, Count’ bag will go home with P2 and P3.
