Friday’s Inspirational Quote

Tuesday the 12th marked the 200th birthday of Florence Nightingale and was also International Nurses Day.  Today’s Inspirational quote comes from Florence Nightingale who is famous for her work during the Crimean War, for raising standards for nursing, changing the way nurses were perceived and in her help educating those in the profession.   A truly inspirational lady, both then and now.

Friday’s Inspirational Quote

Today’s quote comes from the truly inspirational Tom Moore!

The 99-year-old war veteran has raised a staggering £15m (and counting) for NHS staff after reaching his goal of walking 100 laps of his garden.

Capt Tom Moore had hoped to achieve the target in time for his 100th birthday on 30 April, and walked the last 25 lengths on live TV on Thursday morning, with a guard of honour from the 1st Battalion of the Yorkshire Regiment by his side.

We can learn so much from looking at what Tom has achieved.  Set a goal….work hard until it’s reached….face  and overcome setbacks along the way….never give up and believe you can do whatever you set your heart on.

Friday’s Inspirational Quote

We hope you have been enjoying the lovely Spring weather this week and that this post finds you well and looking forward to your Easter weekend. Today’s quote comes from the great Albus Dumbledore … always try to look for the positives even when at first, they seem difficult to see.  I may just have to look out these books again during our lockdown!

Friday’s Inspirational Quote

That’s been a fast week!  What have you been up to?  In my house, we’ve been baking/cooking and watching Masterchef, playing Cluedo, getting our daily exercise outside and doing lots of reading.  I am also trying to get my MRI hat finished.  We hope whatever you are doing, you are having fun!  If you are quick, you might be able to get out to play in the snow this morning! Today’s quote is especially for Mrs A. Henderson!

Friday’s Inspirational Quote

Well, that’s this term coming to an end.  It’s certainly not how we pictured these last few weeks would go but we are sure you’ve done wonderfully at home, working on your packs and Blog ideas plus other activities you’ll have thought of yourselves.  As we enter into our holidays, we ask that you and your families have a well deserved break and just spend time together, doing what you love.  It’s hard when we are limited in what we can do but be inventive and think of ways you can do what makes you happy!  Also, try to find ways you can keep in touch with friends…either using technology or a more traditional way!  Whatever happens,  know this – Mrs Henderson and I are thinking of you all and wishing you a happy and healthy holiday.   Mrs Smith  🤗

Inspirational Quotes

I know it’s Friday night…but I am unsettled and feeling like there is something missing.  Then I remembered…our Friday inspirational quote!  Every Friday, we pick a pupil to choose an inspirational quote to be displayed in our class for the week.  The week of our Education Scotland visit, Fearne picked a beautiful quote.  It seems very fitting for now so I’d like to share it with you.  Who knows….our Friday Blog Quotes could catch on?
