It’s our day off today and I almost forgot our Friday quote!  Better late than never!  In these strange times, we can feel many different emotions, some of them unsettling and hard to cope with … but we can still feel thankful and grateful at the same time.  Look out for our family task next week that asks you to focus on what we’re thankful for.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week with the theme of kindness as a focus this year.  Never underestimate the power of the simplest act of kindness.  Even though we are seeing very few people just now, make sure you pass on a random act of kindness to those closest to you today.  What will you choose to do?

Tuesday the 12th marked the 200th birthday of Florence Nightingale and was also International Nurses Day.  Today’s Inspirational quote comes from Florence Nightingale who is famous for her work during the Crimean War, for raising standards for nursing, changing the way nurses were perceived and in her help educating those in the profession.   A truly inspirational lady, both then and now.

Today, just a little reminder that in these strange days, it’s ok to be very productive one day and feel less motivated another day.  Seize the good days and take things gently on the more challenging days.  This is new to us all.

It’s been a week of learning new things for our pupils, our families and teachers, mostly involving how to navigate Glow!  Sometimes it’s worked…sometimes not.  This can cause frustration when you are ready to work, yet it doesn’t allow you.  Today’s quote is for anybody, young or old, who has found things tricky this week.
