Primary 5 had fun baking Crumbly Banana Squares and Fairtrade Chocolate Cookies using Fairtrade ingredients where possible.
They were a great success and enjoyed by many, as you can see!
Lily Jane, Emmy, Shane, Ronan and Alex
made the Fairtrade cookies.
Bertie, Archie, Katie, Ruby and Christie made the
Crumbly Banana Squares which were also delicious.
Alex, Archie and Ruby trying out different strategies to solve a variety of problems.
Zara, Ciaran and Michael sharing their ideas on how to tackle the problem.
Bertie and Niamh supporting each other to find a solution.
Christie produced a lovely page of handwriting today.
Ronan has been busy carrying out his own Fairtrade research
at home. He made a super poster about Fairtrade
products from around the world.
We are all delighted to hear how well Molly did in her
swimming competition in Aberdeen last Saturday.
Not only did she win a bronze medal for butterfly
she also took 10 seconds off her personal best time.
Hilde Bardell showed us some of the Traidcraft products she uses.
There is a large range of items available.
We had a really interesting afternoon learning more about the various ways that Traidcraft and Fairtrade help to support farmers and growers in developing countries. We were surprised to see so many different products available through Traidcraft.
