Animal shelters

We learned that animals need water, food, air and shelter to survive.

We looked at some different animal shelters like burrows, nests and dens and then built our own shelters in the playground. We used grass cuttings, sticks, stones, leaves and moss to build our shelters.  It was great fun!

THANK YOU P3

Boys and girls I was so surprised and delighted to find your special delivery on Friday. I am so sorry that I wasn’t in when Jacob and his Mum brought it round. I was volunteer shopping for someone.

I absolutely LOVE my beautiful gifts. How thoughtful of you all to organise this for me. I love the exquisite heart necklace, it will go with so many of my outfits. It has been much admired on my Facebook page and on Zoom chats already.

I adore scented candles especially once the nights start to get darker. I look forward to burning the geranium and rose petal one.

And I am hugely looking forward to sampling some Cocoa Black treats. I will take friends once the café is open again or I might get take-aways (when they open for those) to share with friends in a garden visit.

I LOVE the beautiful flower bouquet from Stems. Wow! It is brightening up my conservatory, where I spend lots of time in the summer. The flowers are gorgeous.

And I LOVE the card. It is so bright and cheerful.

Boys and girls I have loved being your teacher. I am sorry that we didn’t get to have a full year together because of the virus. Please say hello when you see me around Peebles. I love to hear how my past pupils are getting on.

I have many happy memories of our time together. How could I forget “Lights,  Camels, Action” or your amazing Charles Rennie Mackintosh artwork.  Thank you for being so enthusiastic to learn, so thoughtful of each other and so hard working.

I will hopefully still come to KPS occasionally to teach and I look forward to seeing you then. Have a wonderful summer. YOU are all STARS

Mrs Thomson xx

Welcome Back P3

We hope you have had a fun time with your families in the lovely weather over the holiday. We have missed welcoming you back this morning, but look forward to seeing all the creative ways you share your learning with us. The new learning will be shared later today on the school website. Look on the website for the new KPS challenge making origami models – WOW! Mrs. Thomson and Mrs Dundas

Well Done P3

WOW P3!!!    Mrs. Dundas, Miss MacKay and I are amazed at the ideas you have had for learning together with your family at home. You have been so inventive.  You are sharing your learning in such interesting ways. It’s lovely to see brothers and sisters learning together and helping each other.

We are looking forward to seeing what you think of next.

If you haven’t yet shared your learning with us we’d love to hear from you. Lots of love from Mrs Thomson and Mrs Dundas.

What Mrs Dundas is learning

Good morning P3. Do you remember how I use to tell you that I learn something every day? Well I am learning loads at the moment. The big thing I am learning at the moment is

Patience!
Not sure what that means? It means being able to wait without getting annoyed.

I like it when programmes I use work the first time. I like it when I can figure out a new technology the first time. I like it when my first idea is the best.

I am learning that this doesn’t always happen. Patience is important to have right now. I will continue to work on my patience and I hope you will too.
Love, Mrs Dundas

P3 Shared Learning

Boys and girls I am having a great time reading our shared learning page. Your work is great. I hope you are enjoying family time too.

Some pupils will make up times tables problems like the one Zara Lavin made up. Can you try to answer them on the shared page? I think you can – I am learning so much new technology!! I can now use Zoom and am beginning to use Teams and Padlet, Wow!
