We have been putting our sounds together to make different small words.
We enjoyed sharing the story of Elmer the elephant to help us remember the e sound.
We drew pictures to take home and share.
One of our class activities this week has been counting up different sets of objects. We wrote our answers on our whiteboards and shared them with our teachers.
We have been having great fun learning our Jolly Phonics sounds with Mrs Collins, Mrs Maxfield and Michael the puppet too! We have been enjoying learning the songs and actions to go with each sound.
We had a really exciting visitor. The ‘toy maker’ came in to show us his special toys. They were quite different from the toys we have at home. It was interesting to find out how the different toys moved. Some of the toys had a key to wind others you had levers to pull or buttons to press.
We have been using black pens to draw pictures of bears adding lots of detail.
