Virtual Numeracy Evening for S1 Parents

Have you ever said to your child “that’s not the way I do it” or “Don’t ask me, I’m rubbish at maths”? If so, then take the opportunity to come along to our  Virtual Numeracy Event for all S1 parents and careers on Thursday 17th September at 7pm for an hour of support and help with Numeracy which will help you support your child at home with their Numeracy in the future.

 

The event will take place online and you can participate in the comfort of your own home. More details to follow. We look forward to seeing you there.

P7 Open Evening Parental Feedback

Our annual P7 Open Evening on Thursday evening was a great success. Parents and pupils from all of our 7 associated parents came along to the evening as well as a number of parents and pupils from out with our learning community. Parents accessed a number of workshops from staff across the school as well presentations from the Headteacher, Depute Headteacher, Pastoral care, a groups of S1 pupils, the Headgirl, and the Principal Teacher of English and Maths.

 

Below is a summary of some of the evaluations from the parents:

S2 Information Evening and Mass

The S2 Parents’ Information evening on Thursday 11th February is on from 6-30-7.30pm.

The evening will focus on:

  • The S2 profile
  • Electives for S3: Choices in Expressive Arts, Technologies and Social Subjects
  • Preparation for the Senior Phase

Mass will start at 7.30pm.

Tea/coffee will be available at the end of the evening to give parents the opportunity to talk to Mr Downes, PT Pastoral Care and Mr Kerr (Year Head)

 

Information Evenings – S2/S3

We would like to invite all Parents and Carers of S2 and S3 to Information Evenings.

The S3 Parents’ Information Evening on Thursday 4th February from 6-30-7.30pm.

The evening will focus on:

  • The S3 profile
  • Subject choice for the Senior Phase

The S2 Parents’ Information evening on Thursday 11th February from 6-30-7.30pm.

The evening will focus on:

  • The S2 profile

Primary 7 Open Evening

Our annual Primary 7 Open Evening was held on Wednesday 18th November. Nearly 400 P7 pupils and parents supported the evening. The visitors were treated to presentations from the Head Teacher, Mr McGuigan, the DHT for S1/2, Mr Kerr and a group of S1 pupils. Our Head Boy, Ebuka, welcomed everyone to the evening and our Head Girl, Megan, reminisced about her time in Lourdes Secondary.

After the presentations in the Concert Hall the parents were treated to a number of workshops across all subject areas.

Primary 7 Information Evening

The Primary 7 Information Evening is taking place this Wednesday 18th November at 7pm. We look forward to welcoming both the Parents and Pupils of next year’s S1 year group to Lourdes Secondary and we hope you will find the evening a very useful and informative event.
