Virtual Singing Hands

Today we had a very special activity. We signed on to see and join in signing, singing and dancing with Singing Hands today.  They sang lots of Christmas songs some of which we have been learning in class. We had our jingle bells out for “Jingle bells” we jingled them along with our friends. We used our interactive song board for “5 little snowmen” which was very fun and we counted the snowmen. Then we had our reindeer antlers on for “Rudolph the re nosed reindeer” and “5 little reindeer” this may be another one we add to our interactive song board collection as we love doing these.

Personal Care SQA – Confident Individuals

The Beech class continued work on their Personal Development SQA unit this week as we focused on looking after our teeth.  We looked at the different products we use to keep our teeth clean and sequenced how to use them.  We practiced brushing techniques using laminates of dirty teeth and also had a think about which food products might be bad for our teeth if we ate too much of them.

We were very confident individuals as we demonstrated an understanding of our own health and wellbeing.

Confident Individuals/Effective Contributors

It’s beginning to sound and look a lot like Christmas with the Snowdrops.

We’ve been busy this week preparing our Christmas window for the atrium. We enjoyed painting and decorating our snowmen and making a Christmas tree using our handprints.

We’ve been very confident as we dressed up in Nativity costumes to learn and practise our Christmas songs and signs.

Rainbow Cooking

We had great listening this week in cookery to choose different vegetables to make a rainbow pasta salad.

We were successful learners and learned about chopping safely. We added our chopped ingredients to a bowl, taking turns with our peers and had super stirring.

Christmas coming already?

The Stars class have been effective contributors by making personalised snowflakes for something ‘secret’ Mrs Murray is planning. We have also been working hard on our Christmas window display for the atrium. We hope you will like it when it’s finished. We also enjoyed the sensory experience of copying shapes and names on shaving foam.

Christmas Surprise

We have been working hard on our performance for the virtual Christmas performance.  We have been confident individuals when completing our roles within the performance.

It is a surprise so no photos can be revealed until the day.

We have been effective contributors when decorating trees for our Christmas wall display.
