We had an exciting visit by the Police where we got to sit in the Police car, heard the siren and tried on their hats and jackets. We enjoyed a Singing Hands virtual concert where we sang our favourite songs and had a visit from ‘Bunny Love’ where we handled, brushed and fed rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks and a tortoise. At Prize giving we all received good work certificates and one Stars class pupil received the Heather Lauder Communication Trophy for improved communication.

Last full week

This week we have been playing literacy and numeracy games. We have been playing outside with the other classes and having lots of fun with them. We have been in the garden and looking at what is growing and smelling the flowers and plants.

On Tuesday it was our celebration day and Hayden’s birthday. We did some dancing, games and some cake tasting. We had some animals in the school and loved petting and brushing them.  We enjoyed having singing hands through zoom and we danced and did our makaton signs with the rest of the school.

We had a wee visit from the police and we enjoyed having a shot in the car and wearing some police uniform.

We have enjoyed some movies this week and having lots of fun for our last full week before the summer holidays. On our local walk we went to Kay park and played very well with each other.

The comets also got their prize giving certificates. They have done so well this year and have progressed so well as individuals, and as a class too. I know they will do very well in the next part of their journeys here at Willowbank School.

It has been a great pleasure to be a teacher to Comets and I hope you all have a fantastic summer break.

Miss Moffat.

Global Goal 3

We have been exploring healthy and unhealthy food options. We looked at lots of different images of food and decided whether they were healthy or unhealthy. We then created our own lunch boxes choose different food images and putting them inside.  We also used some healthy food to create some snacks that looked like dinosaurs. We all enjoyed creating these and some of us even ate them.
