Primary 2 – Friday 12.6.20

Happy Friday Primary 2!

What a busy week you have had! Here is a showcase of some of your amazing work! Well done!

On a Friday, we often have an episode of Newsround to catch up with news around the world after playtime ( https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround) or you can have some quiet time and listen to a story from Mrs OliverĀ  in your Learner’s Journal.

Also I’m sure you won’t have forgotten that it’s FREETIME FRIDAY!!!

The last 2 weeks in school before the end of term are always filled with some fun activities and with that in mind we have prepared our grids for next week with a bit of a difference! We think you will love them!

Have a lovely weekend Primary 2.

Primary 2 – Home Learning 14.5.20

Good morning everyone!

We hope you are having a good week so far.

Today would normally be PE day with Mrs Ferguson and she has suggested the following activity for some active fun! If you are able to have a go-let us know how you get on šŸ˜Š

Sock ladder Jumping

Remember the ā€˜Travel to Tokyoā€™ activity mentioned on Monday’s blog. All you have to do is log any activity you and your family do.Ā  Every little counts and remember there are prizes!

Today is also normally writing day in school. If you are planning to complete your writing today – maybe you could play some relaxing music whilst you do it. We sometimes find that in class it relaxes and focuses us.

We have loved looking at some of your activities on Learner’s Journals and here is a selection of some hard work from the past few days:

Keep up the great work Primary 2 and thank you to the adults at home for helping you learn!

Have a good day boys and girls and we look forward to hearing from you šŸ‘.

Happy VE day Primary 2!

We hope you are successfully making your way through the learning grids. Remember just do what you can!

P.E

Have you still been doing P.E with Joe Wicks? He has recently had an operation on his hand so his wife has kindly been stepping in for him. Do you think she makes a good teaching assistant? We think she does, she has been doing so well! Why donā€™t you try Fridayā€™s workout todayā€¦ā€¦ā€¦Iā€™m sure itā€™s fancy dress!

VE Day- 1 minute silence at 11am

Here are some more activities for you to do to help learn and understand about VE day!

Why donā€™t you make your own bunting you can put up!

Or look through this powerpoint with an adult and discuss what you have learned:

Keep your eyes and ears pealed for other VE Day celebrations over the weekend. I know that in South Queensferry the ships in the River Forth are tooting their horns at 3pm on Friday and shining their lights at 9:30pm #ShineALight

Free Time Friday

Today is Friday after all so make sure you take some time out of your learning to play. You have earned it. Have a super weekend Primary 2 and we look forward to speaking to you all on Monday!

Good morning Primary 2,

We hope everyone is well today? A big thank you to those who posted photos on their online learning journals yesterday. It was so lovely to see what you have all been up to and the fabulous learning you have been doing. We reset all P2 parent passwords so please check your inbox. If you did not receive one just comment on this post and we will do our best to rectify that. Scroll down in this post to see some of the lovely photos!

As today is usually our reading day we have made up some comprehension activities for you to do at home. Please select your group below and post photos of your completed work on your journal. You can complete the questions in your jotter. Remember your title and date!

Newsround have a daily episode each day to keep you up to date with what is going on in the world. Go on toĀ https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround to watch the current episode and let us know what you think. You could even practise your note writing and take some notes.

Miss Rafferty noticed lots of bears in windows when she was out her morning jog. Can you put a teddy bear in your window? If possible, go out a ‘bear hunt’ and count how many you can see around your neighbourhood!

Have a lovely day everyone and we look forward to seeing your photos on your online journals.
