What a super day and what a quick year! Today we have had time playing both indoors and outside in the nature garden…what a beautiful day for the last day of term! We really enjoyed signing all the P7 cards and wishing them well as they leave us. Some pupils spent the morning writing them notes…they’ll be such a miss! After lunch we headed outside to watch the P7’s V Teachers Rounders match at the pitch. Then it was back inside to say farewell to Mrs Hay and to celebrate her time with us with poems and music…and an ice lolly! Thank you all for your support over the year from me, Mrs Tait and Mrs Henderson. You’ve all be super to work with and we’ve enjoyed spending the year with your children. Have a super holiday and see you all back on the 22nd August.
After our assembly, we thanked Mrs Tait for helping to teach us during the year. On her last day, we gave her some presents and a lovely card to remind her of all our lovely faces!
Today we said a HUGE thank you to Mrs Casey for all her help. We will miss her very much! P1/2 wish Mrs Casey all the very best in her new job. We made her a beautiful card and wrote special messages inside.
This will be the last post of session 2016/17! We’ve all had a super year together. I look forward to having some of the P1 pupils back after the summer and I know they will help me settle the new P1 pupils in. Today has been a fun day at school…made all the better by some good news from Mrs Henderson!! We enjoyed a visit from Granny Smith who came in to play in the Teachers V Pupils netball match. Not sure she was much of an asset but it made us laugh!! Thank you for all the kind cards, messages and gifts I received today…very much appreciated. Thank you for your support and happy holidays everybody! See you on Wednesday 16th August!!
Today we say goodbye to Mrs Henderson as she leaves us to start her maternity leave. She has been showered with gifts, cards and beautiful pictures! We surprised her with a special video we made to “fill her bucket” and with flowers and gifts too. We wish her well and look forward to seeing her soon….
