Draw a picture that is going to put a smile on the face of everyone in your house. Put as much detail in it as you can. Go on, make everyone smile. Send a photo to the school email so that you can make me smile too!
Beetle maths
Play beetle maths by trying to draw the beetle. Roll a dice and if you can give a correct addition sum with the answer then you draw that part of the beetle. Remember you have to draw a body first. You can only draw a head once you have a body. You can only draw antenna and eyes of you have a head.

To make it harder, change the numbers for the beetle’s body parts to make them higher, then you can add more than two numbers in your sum to give the answer.
Do it in French using your number knowledge.
Key words: un, deux, trois, quatre, cinq, six, sept, huit, neuf, dix, onze, douze, treize, quatorze, quinze, seize, dix sept, dix huit, dix neuf, vingt, plus +, egal =
Chill out at the end of the day
At the end of the afternoon, have a chill out to this tune as we normally do in class. Remember to concentrate on your breathing. You can even show your parents, brothers, sisters etc how to do this.

Anyone for tea?
Primary 1/2 were learning how to write instructions. Â Before they began writing, they made some tea so that they knew what to write. Â They also took the pictures of them making the tea. Have a look, they really enjoyed it.

World Book Day
We celebrated World Book Day by bringing our favourite stories in to school. We shared them with each other. Please have a look.
Just chilling
After a busy morning partying, primary 1/2 asked for some calming music to chill out to.  Some chose to lie down, others chose to sit up and some chose to focus on moving things quietly.
Â
It was nice and soothing.
Scholland Farm Soup
We made soup using the vegetables from Scholland Farm. Â First we washed the vegetables ready for peeling.
Then we carefully peeled the carrots and parsnip. We peeled away from us to help keep our hands safe from harm and we did it carefully.
We added the onion to our pan. Mrs Inkster chopped that for us and it made her eyes water!
Then we chopped some carrots and parsnip.
Some of us watched while others prepared the vegetables.
Then we chopped and added some neep .
Next it was the broccoli and cauliflower.
Then we put the soup on to cook. Â We decided to have vegetable soup and lentil soup using the vegetables too.
While it was cooking we were being good listeners and following instructions for our activity.
We had a break and tried some raw carrot and raw neep. Â Some of us had never tasted raw neep before and it was delicious!
Once the soup was cooked we tried the lentil soup first. Â We thought that was delicious.
Then we tried the vegetable soup. Some of us didn’t like it but some of us like it so much we had another bowl!
It’s been a busy morning in our class but we really enjoyed using the vegetables that we got from the farm and we all agree that it tastes great when we know and have seen where the produce comes from.
