Well done to the P2 pupils who have been working hard on their alphabetical order and have been using dictionaries to help them find letters and words. They have been keen and motivated workers!

Thank you Mrs Tait!
After our assembly, we thanked Mrs Tait for helping to teach us during the year. On her last day, we gave her some presents and a lovely card to remind her of all our lovely faces!
P1/2 Assembly
Well done P1/2! You did such an amazing job preparing for your assembly at school and home. Thank you to everyone who supported you learning your parts! Everybody said what big loud voices you used on the day so that everyone could hear what we’ve been learning about. Thank you to those who came to watch …we hope you enjoyed it.
Outdoor Education
Yesterday, Mrs Tait took advantage of the fine weather to take the children outside to work on science activities. They explored our nature garden and worked together to find examples of living and non living things. Back in the classroom, they sorted the examples they had found in different ways and recorded their findings. What a beautiful day to be outside, exploring and learning in our outdoor, school surroundings!
You are invited!
We hope you have all received your invitation for our learner led event which will take place next Tuesday evening between 6pm and 8pm. The children are keen to show you around the class and share what they have been working on. Look out for their pupil self evaluation sheets which has a section for you, their parent/carer, to comment on too. We look forward to seeing you!
Goodbye Mrs Casey
Today we said a HUGE thank you to Mrs Casey for all her help. We will miss her very much! P1/2 wish Mrs Casey all the very best in her new job. We made her a beautiful card and wrote special messages inside.
Boddam Beach Clean – Voar Redd Up
What a beautiful afternoon for our beach clean! It was a big task again this year and today, we just concentrated on picking up as much plastic as we could find. P1/2 worked hard and did a super job! Thank you to the parents who joined in too. Many hands make light work!
Traffic Survey
As part of our Maths work on information handling, we wrapped up warm and went to the top of the road to record all the different types of transport that passed by. We used tally marks to help us keep count. We were delighted to see something from each type on our sheet. We even saw some of our parents and grandparents go by! Here are some of our photos. We hope to share some more with you at our P1/2 Assembly in a few weeks.
Happy Easter!
What a lovely last day of term. In the morning we finished off any work that needed to be done and enjoyed task time. We worked hard in Music and enjoyed using the boom whackers to make music. The afternoon saw us hunting for our Easter baskets…much excitement!!! 😄 Then we listened to music and watched a superb drama sketch at our Spring Concert. Well done to Leah for her sweet harp playing!
Shape and Symmetry
For our end of term Maths assessment task, the pupils have enjoyed creating robots that have control panels that can be changed. The first control panel we made had to have a repeated 2D shape pattern. Some pupils chose to colour the patterns in order too. The second control panel needed to show symmetry. This was harder and some pupils took a couple of attempts to get this right. Symmetry has also been worked on at home where pupils created symmetrical butterfly patterns and also as our Maths Task this week. Some great symmetrical patterns were created. Look at some of the super work that has been completed by P1/2!
