These past few weeks we have been finding out about different ways we can collect, sort and record information during our Maths time, Topic work and also in our free choosing time. Please look at some of the activities we’ve been part of. 😊
We played a game where we had to match colours and pictures.
P2 went around the classes to gather information about favourite animals.
Tally marks were used to keep track of how many votes each animal received.
Tally marks are a great way of helping us learn to count in 5’s too!
Honey counted the coloured Compare Bears and then made a graph using cubes to show how many of each colour there were.
Jessica sorted past and present pictures into a venn diagram for our Topic work.
Peter counted domino spots and sorted them into a Carroll Diagram.
Sorting by colour…
This Carroll Diagram also helped our adding skills.
Well done!
We even used Lego to sort!
I think we’re ready for harder diagrams!
