Today, we were glad to see Mr Rose back in class to help us learn all about Forces. We have been learning that forces are all around us, all the time. We have been talking about gravity and the forces that we can apply to objects to make them move and change. We are looking forward to planning, testing and writing up our own experiment soon.
Without a force, our blu tac balls were going nowhere! It was quite dull!!
A little PUSH could make them roll away from us. We could also PULL them back.
When we PRESSED down hard on the blu tac, the force changed the shape.
Mr Rose introduced us to Stan the stunt guinea pig!
When an object was dropped above the see-saw, the force made Stan jump a little into the air.
When a bigger object was used and dropped from higher up, the greater force made Stan jump much higher.
