End of an era

There was lots of excitement in the school today as everyone is getting ready for their holidays.

The last day of term also brings some sadness as we have to say cheerio to the P7 pupils.  We have loved watching them all grown in to the wonderful young people they have become.

We hope that they go on and achieve all their dreams.  Enjoy watching some of their journey over the years.

Bottle Top Mural

Primary 5 have been working hard creating this bottle top mural which we are hoping will eventually find a home in the P5-7 playground.  Lots of hard work has gone into this and congratulations to Kyja and Abigail who won the competition for the design.

This has really opened our eyes to the plastic issues our environment is facing – just look at how many bottle tops we used and we still have lots left over!  A big thank you to everyone who collected bottle tops for us.

Sands of Sound with P4

Primary 4 classes headed to the Sands of Sound last Friday to explore the rockpools and find out what lives around our Shetland shoreline.

First, we all got tangled up in a food web!

Then we went looking for living things in rockpools.

Before we left the beach we had a sandcastle competition.

Lilly, Finlay and Mia were the overall winners!

It was a fantastic morning and a great way to finish off our topic about living things.

Thank you very much to  Mason and Willows’ dads for coming with us and we hope you all have a very HAPPY HOLIDAY!
