P4/5 Swimming Gala

Today was the P4/5 swimming gala. The pupils all participated really well and showed off the progress they have made with their swimming this term.  All the pupils swam races and also participated in fun team races. We were all delighted with both their super swimming and excellent sporting behaviour. Big thanks to G4S for sponsoring this event

The photo below shows Thorfinn team captains with the trophy. Archie Redfern and Alfie Hall received the trophy on their teams behalf. It was a very close competition with the scores as follows:

Thorfinn 125 points

Magnus 124 points

Olaf 117 points

Learner Led Event 26.9.19

On Thursday we welcomed families to our Learner Led Event.   Learner Led Events are a chance for your child(ren) to share their learning with you.

Our pupils enjoyed showing their families around the school and sharing their learning with them.

Representatives from various other agencies were available  in our school canteen, these included our Parent Council, the School Nurse and Active Schools.  The School Meal’s Service provided taster school lunches for families to try and this was very popular.

STEM in P7

P7 have been lucky enough to have Emma Chittick in for three sessions delivering STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) activities.  During her visits the pupils had the opportunity to program Lego robots and create wind turbines and solar cells.  This related very well with our Climate Change topic and they all became very competitive  to see who could get the biggest output from their design!
