Free online Parent course from the National Autistic Society –

Early Bird, Early Bird Plus and Teen Life.

Parents have to not have had previous training in these courses, have an autistic child or teen and be able to commit to 6x 2 hour sessions on line.

This is a fantastic opportunity for parents.

Foodbank P4,5,6 and 7

During December, P4,5,6 and 7 were asked to contribute to the Shetland Foodbank Reverse Advent Calendar to support families having a challenging time this Christmas.

Primary 6 pupils learned all about the work of the Foodbank in a Teams chat with David Grieve.

Here are some of the P6 pupils sorting the items generously donated by our school community.

Internet Safety – Home Activity Packs

During this time many children are spending more time online and on social media.  This vital connection with friends, family, teachers, social workers and others can help to reduce the feelings of isolation.  However there is a risk that the increase in online activity by young people along with limited access usual support networks may be exploited by perpetrators of online abuse.

For your information we have collated links to resources on online safety which are relevant to keeping children safe online at this time.
