We had a great time collecting and identifying invertebrates on Wednesday with Patrick from the Tweed Foundation. We were able to use the nets to collect samples and keys to identify what we had found. We can’t wait to go back next week!

P4A Science experiment
We have been learning about microorganisms. This week we did an experiment with yeast. Here is the information if you want to do the experiment at home.

P4b potion recipe
Our primary four fabulous fantasy potion
Ingredients
10 magical purple bananas
1kg of yeast
Donald Trump’s hair
The wag of a fluffy dog’s tail
A blob of shimmery toothpaste
A chip from Oor Wullies bucket
15 gold teeth
A squidge of hand sanitizer
A giant, beautiful orange caterpillar
Instructions
- Mash the bananas and put in a large pot.
- Pour in the yeast.
- Steal Trumps hair and sprinkle it into the pot.
- Persuade a dog to wag its tail beside the pot.
- Mix the toothpaste, Oor Wullies bucket and the teeth and add them to the pot.
- Squidge the hand sanitizer onto the caterpillar and put it in the mixture.
- Heat for an hour and stir it well. Let it cool before serving.
