We have had great fun this week creating our own story books all about monsters. We have each made a pet monster, given it a name and started writing about what happens when the monster follows us to school one day. Surprisingly, things don’t go very well! We will hopefully share some of our finished stories soon.

A huge well done to everyone who entered the Great Kingsland Bake Off! The entries were amazing and it was very difficult to choose winners. Thankfully, we had some help from Louise and the wonderful bakers at Forsyths.

We have had a lovely time this week getting into the festive spirit. We loved our movie/party afternoon, the Christmas lunch, making Christmas crafts and the pantomime – oh yes we did!

P4a designed an investigation to find out which materials made good conductors and which made good insulators.  They then used their findings to design and make a switch to control when their buzzers sounded.

P4a+b made connected festive doors. P4b had a beautifully decorated tree but then along came the Grinch and stole the tinsel!

P4a have been making a “stained glass window” poppy display ahead of Remembrance Day tomorrow.

The children will bring their poppies home today should you wish to display them at home.
