***SUMDOG COMPETITION 11AM***

After most of you compelted the spelling assessment, there were some words which caught a lot of you out!

I think it would be a great idea for us to practice these words EVERYDAY for a week and then we can test them again.

Take time to look at exactly what letters are in the word, what patterns you notice and also even take time to write down how the word is NOT spelled or what letters AREN’T in the word.

Here are the words to work on:

tremendous

accommodate

achieve

separate

irresponsible

rhythm

hideous

legible

language

Here are this week’s reading pages:

Answer the following questions:

  1. How did Mr Sir mark where the boys were supposed to dig?
  2. Why was X-Ray annoyed at Stanley?
  3. When did the water truck come?
  4. What could Stanley see digging 200 yards away?
  5. How far in meters do you think 200 yards is? Guess then look it up
  6. Why did Mr Pendanski tell X-Ray (Rex) not to dig too hard?
  7. Why did the boys in group E have to wait for their water?
  8. What does the Warden do that is nice to the boys?
