Have a go at this punctuation game.

It’s Friday so why not do a home made spelling test with this week’s spelling words or modern language words.

Main task

Reading can be a great distraction at the moment. We have been working on extended reading this year, so it would be a great time to practice this today and take our mind off the current situation.

The key to extended reading is to get rid of all distractions and get everything you need so there is no reason for you to stop.

Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down, get a drink and snack, choose a book or website that you want to read about for a while. Put away all other distractions and read. Let’s see how well you can focus on reading for an extended period of time.

Bronze – 15 minutes

Silver – 25 minutes

Gold -35 minutes

Platinum -45 minutes

UBER PLATINUM – 1 hour+

For an extra challenge, write a summary about what you read or talk to someone else about it, explaining the main details.
