Tuff Tuesday 🥺

When we came in school today we started off by doing hand writing. We had to copy it off of the board twice. When we finished that we could either do Sumdog language, typing spelling words or read a book. We were learning to join letters together and to make different sizes of letters.

When we finished doing hand writing, we moved onto what does features of a non fiction do? The teacher picked four people, to go up infront of the full class to have a race to find a piece of information by skim scamming. When we finished doing races, the teacher told us what to do. The nouns had to get a partner and have races to find a piece of information and the verbs had to come with there chairs and sit on the carpet. The teacher said questions and we had to find it by skim scamming aswell. It was the same as what we did when the four people went up infront of the class. When we got the answer we had to put our hand up and not SHOUT out.

We only got 10 minutes doing that then we moved onto our honey booklets. First we were looking what some honey words mean.             E.g. Royal jelly- It is a food they feed to larvae. They give morelextra to queens.

When we finished that we moved onto our booklet. We could only do the glossary today then other days we will keep on doing more.

While we were doing the booklet the teacher put the bee video on of him and miss Watson moving the queen bee to the new hive.

When we finished it was finally break time. It was an outdoor and we had 10 extra cause there was a meeting cause miss Ferguson had a meeting with all the teachers.

We came back in and did the daily mile. If we do the daily mile lazy where was a fine. It wasn’t a lot of money.

Lazy daily mile- £1:00

We came back in and did maths. We are learning to change a percentage to a fraction first. There was only four groups today.

1- Dylan, Logan b, and Ryan.

2- Nicole, James, Lewis, coral, Keira, and Katelyn.

3- Leah k, Kyla, Katelyn, Rhys, Ashton, Carri, Kimberley, josh, and Connor.

4- Logan, ciaran, stuey, and Emma.

The third group went down to work with the teacher first and they did percentages but not hard ones, easy ones. Then they had to copy and answer the question on the chalk board. They got settled down with there work then the teacher went to work with the second group. They are working on the top number not being a one at the top and trying to be a two. After that he went back to work with James, coral, and Keira. The 4th group got a task board and they had to copy and do what it said.

When we finished ALL of that we had to write down our asseement in our jotter.

I have been learning to …………. find a percentage of a number

I know I was successful because……………

I am ………….. because ………….

A top tip for this learning is …………….

My next steps are ……………..

When we finished doing our assessment, it was lunch time. It was an out door again.

We came back in and Dylan started reading another chapter of our holes book. We are on chapter 32 now.

We finished reading a chapter of holes, then we moved onto French. We are learning to match words to there picture and to remember the names of the things.

E.g. le sandwich = sandwich 🥪

La salade= salad

Le fromoge=Cheese

La saucisse=Sausage

Le cafe’= coffee

First we did a French matching game. It was fun! Coral picked too names from the loopy sticks and they had to match the names to the food. Then miss Thomson had a shot but She was asking us what the answer was.

Then we moved onto French words. We had to wire down bronze, silver, and gold in our jotter. We had to write down the French words in bronze, silver, gold what we thought was either easy, medium, or hard.

E.g.

Bronze, Silver, Gold

La salade =  Bronze

Le fromage = Silver

La saucisse = Gold

Le vin = Bronze

Le sel = Bronze

Le cafe’ = Silver

Le jus d’ orange = Gold

La viande = Silver

Le beurre = Gold

Le gàteau = Gold

La bière = Silver

Le pain = Bronz

L’ oeuf = Silver

Then we played a game of elimination. Miss Thompson changed it up  just a little bit. So how you play is Miss Thompson thinks of a French word and she  does not say it out,  then everybody else have to say the words going round in a circle ⭕, and if u say the word that She is thinking of you are OUT. You couldn’t say what the person beside you said because then everybody could say that word then it would take forever to play. Miss Thompson changed the word every time we finished going round the circle. We only played 10 minutes of it.

When we finished that we moved onto bird feeding. We got organised then went down to the kitchen. We had marshmallows, bird food, and biscuits to crush up. We got a choice from a long thin stick or a pin cone. It was rally fun doing but it was exceedingly, messy. At the end we had lots of amazing bird food and we had a lot of mess to clean up.

We had coral to help us with everything.

Then we talked more about article 16.

Bye kimberley and carri
