Happy Easter

Easter Holidays & Revision Classes

The school will close today at 2:30pm.

During the Easter break we will be offering a selection of Revision classes, details attached.

The school will reopen on Tuesday 22nd April at 8:50am.

Mrs Lennon and all the staff at Lourdes would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy and holy Easter.

SQA Support Session

In the run up to the final exams we will be offering a series of Support Sessions for each subject, details attached.

It is highly recommended that all pupils sitting exams this year take advantage of this opportunity to assist with final preparations.

Employability: Summer leaver opportunity

Are you passionate about the media? Are you enthusiastic, creative, hardworking and eager to get started in the exciting career you’ve always wanted? Then we want to hear from you!

The BBC Scotland 2015 Apprenticeship scheme is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career in the media industry.
From September 2014, 10 people will have the chance to work with BBC professionals on Radio, TV and Online content across a range of departments such as Sport, Children’s, Learning and News.

Your on-the-job experience along with BBC training and study at Glasgow Kelvin College will all add up to the skills and knowledge you need to achieve a Creative & Digital Media Apprenticeship at Level 3.

There are no formal qualifications but you must have good basic maths, English and IT skills, as well as a keen interest in the media.

Secretary of State for Scotland is visiting Lourdres Secondary

Alistair Carmichael, the Secretary of State for Scotland will be visiting Lourdes Secondary on Thursday, 20th February. The purpose of the visit is to raise awareness of the Plan Bee Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Green Legacy Project, an eco project, led by Mr Raeburn in Lourdes, which is designed to encourage natural pollination. A number of pupils from Lourdes and Rosshall will be involved in meeting the Secretary of State and discussing the schools involvement in the project.
