Today we spent the morning making pancakes and after break we went to the flower park with Sanna to do some golf putting and play short tennis. In the afternoon the pupils went to the Clickimin broch to do some sketching with Miss Birnie.

A super first day for our trip. Â We have spent the day at Blair Drummond Safari Park. Â There was so much to see and do. Â There were many favourites – boat rides, Zip lines and dodgems to name a few.
We arrived in Edinburgh at teatime and had a quick turn around at the hostel before heading to Cosmos for tea.
It has been a really enjoyable and busy day.

Today we painted the inside of shoe boxes and decorated them with a swing and a character. It was very fun! The library was very interesting and the 3D printer was very cool. The recording studio and the storage for all the extra books was very nice to look at. In the afternoon we played WII games and the laptops.

A large number of P7 pupils headed away on the boat last night on their school trip. We had a lovely smooth trip and all the bairns were so well behaved and in their beds by 10.

Some of the pupils in P7N and P7S had a great day at the hockey festival in Brae yesterday. They worked really hard and even did some great cheer leading dance moves alongside the pitches!
It is a beautiful day in Lerwick today. It was lovely to see the playground before school bustling with activity.
It is also the Hockey Festival in Brae today and some Primary 7 pupils are participating in this.Â

The school received a donation of 4 large tyres! The Pupil Council were asked if they could make use of them for the school. We decided to paint them and make them into planters for the school grounds.
Johnny and Jess (PC Chair and Vice Chair) wrote letters to local businesses asking for advice on which type of paint to use for the job.
Malakoff Ltd very kindly donated paint for the tyres and super advice on what to do with them. We are very grateful for their help as we are on a tight budget. We went along on Thursday to thank them and accept their kind donation.
Each term, Primary 7N and Primary 7S are mixed into cooperative learning groups to carry out research projects. This term, we started off with some team building activities to get to know each other a little better. Groups were tasked with building a tall, stable, strong tower using only masking tape and newspapers. Here are some pictures of the building in action!
