In partnership with Lerwick Port Authority we have been involved in the Light the North, Lighthouse trail.
This trail shines a light across the north-east, Orkney and Shetland with fifty lighthouse sculptures designed and created by some of the UK’s most talented artists.
At the end of the trail, each of the lighthouses will be auctioned off to raise funds for Clan Cancer Support, providing support to people affected by cancer across the north-east, Moray, Orkney and Shetland.
The pupils in our current P7 class designed and created a lighthouse which can be seen on display in Mareel.
In order to raise awareness of this trail an activity sheet has been designed by our art teacher, Ms Birnie and the P7 pupils. Any pupil can collect a paper copy of the activity sheet from Ms Birnie or print off one from below. Completed sheets should be returned to the class teacher. Any pupil who hands in a completed sheet will receive a reward.
