STEM AWARD FOR P7

A huge congratulations to pupils from P7S who have been taking part in a STEM project and competed today at the Shetland Museum in a STEM celebration event.

Pupils had to present their Climate Smarter School models to judges and got to participate in STEM challenges from local businesses.

The pupils’ weeks of hard work paid off and they were crowned the Regional Winners! Well done P7S.

P1-7 go to Folk Festival Concert at St. Columbus

On Friday 2nd May pupils in Primary 1-7 walked to St Columbus Church and enjoyed a Folk Festival concert.  We were all greeted by a piper as we walked into the church and then everyone enjoyed the excellent music from two visiting acts.

Thank you very much to the Folk Festival Committee for organising the concert in such a beautiful venue.  It was a lovely morning which was very enjoyable for pupils and staff.

P4 Visit the Antarctic 🐟

Primary 4 were so excited to be welcomed on board the Antarctic Pelagic boat as part of our Shetland Maritime topic learning.

As the boat was only launched in 2023, it was a great experience being shown around the state of the art vessel!

Thank you again to skipper John William and his crew for the inviting us on board, and for delivering the brilliant tour.
