Sports Day

Today pupils took part in our annual  Sports Day.

All pupils were allocated to a house  – Thorfinn, Olaf or Magnus and they took part in a number of events to earn points for their team.

Pupils in P4-7 took part in 8 different events and  finished with a relay.

P1-3 had 7 different events.

It was lovely seeing so many parents and family members come along to support the children.

The Dragon of the Western Sea

Pupils in P5 and P6 entertained their peers and family and friends today as they performed alongside Scottish Opera.

Thanks to Miss Simpson the  pupils had learned all the words of the songs prior to this morning and in just 1hr and 40 mins the show was pulled together.

Everyone did an amazing job and the pupils worked so hard.  They all had so much fun.

Special thanks to Scottish Opera and to Noelle Henderson who funded this opportunity through YMI funding.

Edinburgh trip -Day 3

Our first stop today was at the Ratho Climbing Centre where we got to abseil and climb.  It was lots of fun and so good seeing everyone challenge themselves.

We are so proud of all the young people who are behaving so well and are great company.

We had our lunch in glorious sunshine at Bannockburn before heading in doors to hear all about the Battle of Bannockburn.  In groups the children then held their own battle. Once again the Scottish were victorious in “The Battle of the Bowling Club”.

We had our tea in Pizza Hut and then all enjoyed Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
