Some children have been asking about the homework tasks related to our topic.

We are currently finishing our topic on Being active outdoors and are moving on to a new topic of FORCES!

we are learning about friction, gravity and thrust.

One of the most important people in the history of science is Sir Isaac Newton. He made up a theory about gravity and about other forces that help us understand the world better today.

This morning we were writing our spelling words out but we had to do the vowels in red! We then went to read our reading books for 15 mins.

After break we did some maths. We were learning about speed, distance and time! We then had to make a time sheet about anything.

After maths we were doing the daily mile!

Then it was lunch time!

After we were doing health and well being. We had to draw a picture of us being active on a big piece of paper and then we had to paint it. We were choosing an area near the school or our house that we thought could be improved and designing how to improve it.

Then we were doing skipping outside!!!

Then we came back inside and did IDL. We were learning about forces! (e.gif you rub something together it makes heat!!)

Then it was home time!

Firstly, when we came in school we were doing some maths.

We were doing adding, subtracting and times sums!

After doing the sums we were going to create a timetable.

Next we had ICT with Mr Green. We were doing some coding. (code.org)

And now it was playtime!!!

After playtime we came back into class and we are doing literacy with some spelling words. We did handwriting. We got new spelling words.

Then we we were planing our talk. We watched a video. We had to write in our thinking jotter what were good and bad things.

Then after we were watching the videos, it was lunchtime!!

Then we went to assembly,we watched news round and sang some songs. Then we came back from assembly and we did the daily mile!!

Now we are doing health and well being about being active outside so we pick and area and make it better for being active!!

And now it is hometime!!!

today in school we did ICT we made our own story and everybody creative a lot of us did a jail break and some of us did fortnite and some of us did their own story.

After playtime we did maths in maths wee did formal subtracting and adding here are some examples

This morning we started off by doing our spelling shapes.

Then Mr Mcmullan was showing us how to continue  the story for are reading book because some people didn’t get how to it yesterday so we did it today with all the class so everyone knows how to do it.

We used a book called Greenfinger and other mysteries. We all took turns of reading. Then we wrote down some notes to help us with are continue the story.

We started our task boards and we all had to do continue are story. We all started this yesterday but we didn’t get it done so we are going to finish it.

We were also doing French matches. Then we went outside and got to play in the snow.

Then it was playtime and it was an indoor so all the buddy’s went to there class. After playtime we played a game of French bingo.

Then we finished are mathes  from yesterday and we watched a  video to help us.

Then we started subtraction in maths today and we watched another video to help us again.

Then we started Mathes and we got to choose what we got to do.

This morning when we came in we started off doing some maths. We are learning about formal addition and subtraction. We can start from the right. I can put a zero in my calculations. I can put one digit in each box. I can use a ruler. We did 3 skills in one maths lesson. We are working on this for this week and then we are going to move onto a new topic.

After maths we went to I.C.T with Mr green. We were making a power point about Martin Luther King. We were learning about black and white people sitting at different sides on a bus. I can play about with buttons to figure it out myself. I can help each other. We had to work in pairs.

Then it was literacy time. We did three literacy tasks. The first one was French. We were learning to write down numbers. The next one was handwriting. We had  to copy down French words that where on the chalkboard but we gotta chose what letters we could join.

After literacy it was lunchtime.

Just after lunch it was assembly. We sang lots of songs and we learnt a new song. We also watch news round to see what is happening around the world.

Finally we did HWB. We were thinking how to think. We all had to think about words that make us think. Then we played a game the game is like you have a picture and some words at the bottom and you say something related to the picture but not the words at the bottom.

And the game ended off the day and now it’s home time.

This morning we were continuing on handwriting. We are doing this to improve on it. We were learning to joing we, oa,  oo, ou. I can make different letters different heights. I can not join capital letters. We were making a handwriting activity and then when we where finished, we had to swap with a partner. They had to fill it in.

After handwriting we did some maths. We are learning about doubles and halves. Today we were answering some questions that where on the chalkboard. We had 3 different levels, Bronze,silver,gold.

Here is some information that we have all ready learnt. When some of the digits are more than 4, split it up.(partitioning). When all of the digits are even you can just half them. When the units are odd you need to use decimals. When at least one of the digits is odd then you need to split it up, half it and put it back together. When all the digits are less  than 5, just double each digit.

After maths we went outside to do some laps on the daily mile. During the daily mile the bell ran for break. We went outside. After break we finished off by doing some more laps on the daily mile. It was refreshing, but tiring at the same time.

After the daily mile we were learning about French. We are learning to listen, say, read, write. We are doing it by step by step. We are also learning to break it down, when we are saying it. After that we played a quick French game. We were trying to match the saying, to the pictures.

After that we were doing a weather report. We were meant to draw a weather in a box and then write the saying on what you draw, or you could get 3 boxes with the sayings already on it, and alll you have to do is draw the weather.

After we drew/French it was lunchtime. After lunch we went to ict. In ice we went back on the French magic cards. Mr McMullan had a record of 11 secs but Dylan came in and got 8 secs. Everybody boooooopd him. When Kyla was on it she found how to do it in 1 sec. she kinda hacked/cheated.

After that we went onto scratch. We were learning to learn different stuff and to just play about with it. We were trying to make different people talk to each other in French. We got to work in partners and we got to take turns.

After ict we came back in the class and we went outside to do STEM activities on air resistance. We learned how to build a paper airplane. After we built our airplane we went outside and text it. We had to throw it in between hoops in the air.
