16/4/19 – Fake Wednesday

 This morning

We are making a shop where we can buy all of the stuff we need during class.

We are doing this so when we’re older we know how to budget our money. First we made our fake debit cards, here are some picture of a few.

Katelyns –

Keiras –

Leahs –

Then we got a banking statement sheet where we would write what we bought , how much we spend and the balance or how much we got paid and the balance.

Article 29 and 31 fit in with the shop e.g

Article 29:Education must develop every child’s personality, talents and abilities to the full. It must encourage the child’s respect for human rights, as well as respect for their parents, their own and other cultures, and the environment.

Article 31:Every child has the right to relax, play and take part in a wide range of cultural and artistic activities.

After break we are doing reading with our class book holes.

After we finished reading a bit we are now doing a thinking routine, here is what we have to do

we have to work with a partner or table and then write a bullet point about a topic.

Now we are doing some comprehension.

And the group doing El Niño were answers the questions

After Lunch we are doing health and well being . We are learning about refugees and article 22 we’ve got a right to look at every week and this week is article 22.

We are also doing zoom in and zoom out this making routine. It helps so we can understand the picture more than just looking at it

Some of us are doing a little bit of mental tug of war. Here are some pictures

After the daily mile we’re doing Cubism art, here is an example.

Now it is home time.

15 of April 2019

In the morning we started with rights and we were thinking what article 22 meant and we watched a video about each what a refugee is and what a migrant is. A refugee is someone that is forced to leave there country and a migrant is someone that isn’t forced to leave there country but they do to meat family or have a better life.

In literacy we did comprehensions one group did one called toothbrush and the other did one called El Niño. To be successful for this you need to use words from the text and put it in the start of your answer.

In ICT we made an invitation to our art show and we had to invite someone from our family and tell them what time and when are we doing it.

In maths we started with  true or false on fractions and we are starting a new topic in maths. Our new topic is fractions and we have to split a shape to whatever fraction you chose from the board and the shapes you cut out have to be equal.

After lunch we have a assembly and then we did more about refugees and how many refugees there were each year and the year that had the most was 2015. And we had a push or pull so we had questions and we had to answer push or pull, push means that refugees have move and pull means is something good. After that we watched a video about refugees.
