Re read yesterday’s Holes pages. There was an unexpected moment in this part of the story where you learn that the Warden is a woman and that she can be extremely scary and harsh.
As you are reading, take notes on anything you learn about the Warden – what she looks like, how she moves, what she says, how she treats people and how other people act towards her.
Draw the scene where the Warden is standing with Stanley and Mr Pendanski and telling Mr P off for not refilling their water bottles. Make sure you include details that are described in the book about the setting, what people say and how they are acting.
