P.E

Today in P.E we were doing something very fun, we were trying out 2 different activities which were javelin and hurdles. We had to jump over the hurdles using your good foot then your bad foot, we all thought it was fun.

 

 

Then we had to get split into 5 people per group to through the javelin and whoever won would be put into the competition of the p4-p7s *P7S WILL WIN ;)*

 

 

  Bees!

 

Then after our amazing P.E lesson we learned buzzing facts about bees! we went to see our new hive now we’ve got more space for more bees! we are awaiting for our new queen bee! we have still not got a name for her.

Did you know bees will get the queen bee to lay more eggs before she leaves then the bees will feed them something called Royal Jelly and whatever one comes out first will kill the other queen  eggs and  become the new queen bee!

 

 

 

 

after learning fantastic facts we had to take notes about all things to  stop your bees from swarming ( That’s why we got a new hive!).

Tomorrow, we are going to turn our notes into an explanation text.

 

 

 

Maths

After learning all about bees we tried something new in maths called function machines. Function machines are when u have a number and say you need to add on 12 then the number that comes out is the number that you now have. It was fun and new so we gave it a go and we loved it!

 

 

 

 

End of the day treat!

In assembly we were being  great in class and out of class so we were awarded with the school Wii! And Mr McMullan thought we had been very good today so we got to play the Wii! I think that’s a great way to end off the day don’t you?!
